Agree on secret band release. Which BTW I saw no one mention here but they apparently did represses of the EP and LP1 on 2023. Still very much available. Been debating grabbing them but pretty sure they out every variant of LP2 on sale at some point

Got my /2000 bundle yesterday, there was a tracking label given beforehand.

AFAIK it’s only with Cove. I guess the better way to phrase this is: “I wish labels would stop making artists do this.” I believe they are doing this exactly why Taylor Swift, Senses Fail, etc have all done this. A label won’t give up the rights to the music so they’re hoping fans will just move on to this version on streaming services.

Post from the band today. They say they are working on a “Saosin’s Version” of ST and about 1/3 done. Not sure I’m into that idea. They also have new songs in the works.

Ordered the latest album's "Deluxe edition". When adding it to Discogs I discovered there is supposed to be a bonus 7". I went looking and it's stuck inside the gatefold panel on the front side. Like it lept from the regular pocket to the front half. It also seems to be glued or stuck inside one of the folds. So strange. Hoping to not destroy the sleeve to get out the 7" lol

This band is getting attention because of their Coachella set. Dude pulled a dildo out of his pants and played the keyboard with it, so of course that freaked out more normy Coachella people lol. Someone posted a recording on TikTok.

Got an email that Pale Horses deluxe is shipping EXCEPT the single rainbow variant. "However, if you ordered the Single Rainbow version of the Collector's Edition, your copy is still currently on hold due to a coloring issue with the vinyl disc. We will send out another update once we have more information about their ETA. Hopefully it shouldn't be much longer." Glad they take these things seriously, but also difficult to realize how often the factory is probably to blame for most boo-boos.

Slip cover and poster FWIW. All editions have the 20 page booklet. Interestingly all normal versions have an “Obi Strip” that the deluxe ones don’t. I grabbed a blue splatter. No DVD but someone put it online. I’ve downloaded and archived it on my servers.

Got my replacement for the Epitaph exclusive in today. I was actually confused because I didn’t have anything on my pre-order sheet from KRM. It’s just a pink/yellow mix like the 7” is. It’s fine. Honestly the original looks better. I’m waiting for the original woman that complained to complain about this one too.

I need to sit down with their new album. I’ve only listened to it twice in drives and was kinda giddy about the crazy sound choices but pretty disappointed by the vocals. I can’t hear anything, which is unfortunate, because I think that alone is what really holds back the whole album.

Someone send this thread to a record label lol. Same as the majority of you all. At points in 2023 I had 30+ pre-orders open in my spreadsheet. It’s now at 5 and I haven’t purchased a record in a few months. I’m at 1,000 records, and maxing out my office. I’m about 65% of the way through an A-Z listen of all my records. When that’s done, I’ll likely be selling a huge chunk, which will take me a longggg time. When that happens I might grab a list of neo-classical and ambient releases I’ve wanted for a while but didn’t feel had a place in my current collection. As for where I listen to music, I buy things in bandcamp and stream from a Plex server I run. Plexamp is a legit great app that’s better than Spotify in some ways.

In the past I've used some browser extensions like Distill to monitor for things that go in and out of stock quickly. Might look for something more user friendly but that's probably the product type that what you want. With Distill you have to specify a part of a webpage you want it to monitor. For example on Discogs you can watch that text "No items for sale for this Release." If that changes, then one is up for sale.

Big sigh. I had an issue with my first tri-color copy where C/D was warped pretty badly. It caused the first half of tracks C1/D1 to skip. They luckily sent me another copy for free. Got it it in today. No warp, side C of played perfect. Almost put it away but decided to play side D. Track D1 still has a skip. This one is weird and looks like it happens right at the transition between two of the colors. I guess I’ll just sell both at discounts and hope to make up the $50 I payed for it?

Nice. In the last few years I moved from SoCal to around Modesto and found out that’s their hometown. Kinda hoping that if they did a single show it’s be around here (Bay Area, Sacramento, whatever)

I keep wanting to know if bands are going to do this lol. If they did a 10th or 20th anniversary of an album, are they going to do it again 10 years later?

Better yet, what makes this a 10th anniversary press? New plates? Remastered? anyone have the black copy and does it sound better? Obviously not new tracks.

I feel like you’re right, but it has its purpose in my eyes. Part of the write up talks about how despite the bands being sonically very different, they’re cut from the same cloth. I think having the tracks that are very FOH tracks and some that are NOTHING tracks clarifies that. It feels like a calm after the storm. The noise and rumbling is gone, but the same despair and dread can be there as you seek to rebuild.

I didn’t even look at the list but you have the Fearless comp Punk Goes Christmas. I’ve been wanting a repress of that for so long. The original release went on sale multiple years in a row and then the aftermarket immediately went “Yeah this is worth $120”
