  1. https://megamart.subpop.com/releases/clipping/splendor_and_misery Clipping.-Splendor & Misery. For fans of noise, hip-hop, and Hamilton. Pre-orders are the looser edition of clear vinyl. I pre-ordered and got mine in the mail yesterday. Comes with a sticker and patch. This is a concept space slave ship revolution record. Features Daveed Diggs, vocals and lyrics, who played Lafayette in Hamilton. His voice is like butter. The noise varies from beat driven to rumbles to harsh noise.

  7. I had to let this one sink in for a while and since no one has written a review, hear I go. I'm thoroughly impressed with this boxset. I was skeptical at first because of the live vinyl but after listening to it many times I have found the beauty of it. This is essentially a Converge greatest hits with a highlight on AWLWLB. The songs span through much of Converge's discography and I love this. Side 2's "My unsaid everything" to "A glacial pace" to "Cutter" is just genius. You get to hear many great songs without taking out 5 records. That being said the records are fairly quiet but thats not a big deal, just crank up the volume. The actual mix sounds great and really sounds clean for a live show. It also has the perfect amount of stage banter, I could have even had more banter but its good. The highlight of the records for me is "The saddest day". This was THE closer to most of my converge shows (2001-2004). This brings me back and is the perfect end to the live set. The most impressive aspect of this boxset is the DVDs. The live set from Philly is great but too many camera angles for me and I find it distracting. The rest of the content on the DVDS, and I havn't watched all of it, spans over 10 years. That's insane. I get to see the Converge I grew up on and the evolution to what they are now. Yes some of the sound quality, especially the earlier shows, is shit but there is so much fucking footage to make that an issue. I thought that it would have one song for each show but these are full shows. It's incredible and very impressive. For them to come up with this concept and provide fans with such an experience shows the dedication of this band. The slipmat, patch and book are ok. The book is ok but not something I'll flip through more than a few times. Those items act more as book ends to the record and DVD. This is really a sick boxset and the size and weight of it are kind of an allegory to the massiveness that is Converge. Thank you guys and keep it up!!
  8. Reptile, suck, and burn are 3 of my favorites. All the YouTube video of this are terrible. Seems to be more antics than a performance but what great songs.

  14. Terminal 5 sold out in 3 minutes......... Did anyone get extra tickets? Help me out by any chance, please!!!
  15. So excited for this! I have always wanted to see this band back in the day and never have. Now I get to see them at such a small venue as Terminal 5 instead of something like Coachella or a fest. Can't wait!
  16. Nice! I think I only saw them once at Warp tour in 01. They played on the ground (no stage) at Sullfolk Downs to about 15 people.
  17. Picked up the 250 version. I would love the ST Miracle on vinyl!! I first got into KD with that Immigrant Sun sampler with a less important place on it. So goooood.
  18. Kevin Devine 1 of a kind lathe cut 2Lp cover of Nirvana's Nevermind with only 1 copy available to purchase. All proceeds go to charity. This is gonna be crazy! http://www.ebay.com/itm/262213697107?ul_noapp=true
  19. Just got this yesterday and watched it. Is anyone else disappointed in it? How on earth did this take 4 years to get released? I thought it would be a real documentary but they don't ever interview the band. The other interviews are really short too and only for the LA show. The Boston show has terrible sound and is kind of pointless because they play the same setlist as the LA show. Even in the LA show Wes' mic is cut off for 2 songs. I thought this would be much better. I'm supper happy that they play shows now and have caught them twice at Webster Hall and it was amazing. I just wish the doc spread more light as to how they got back together and the future of the band. Maybe I'm being nit-picky but I was not impressed by this. Anyway I miss old AN but am thankful for anything. I was at this show and I am fairly certain the date is wrong and it was the 11/21/01 show at the old Met Cafe in Providence with the Hope Conspiracy, AN, Thursday, and Converge. Thats like a million scene points right?
  20. See ya at the saturday one punkguy! I found some great stuff at the one over the summer. Just have to be sure to eat before I go so I can buy more records ha
