  1. Haven't been here in years, but have followed you on Instagram since coming here in 2015. My heart goes out to you and your family right now. Having lost my father I understand the weight that carries, but all the other unfortunate events I can't even imagine being part of the equation. Please, take care of yourself and your mother any way you need to and nothing but positive energy to you.
  2. Slip, Stitch, and Pass was my first way of getting access to them because of the Jesus Just Left Chicago cover. I was just into punk, metal, and classic rock at that age, so hearing them make it sound so good got my defenses down and then I fell in love with them. Gotta jump on that RSD for sure! Rift would be my favorite
  3. My luck, it's sold out there too. Thanks for the help though. I think a friend here may be getting me one, but until I hold it, I'll be on the hunt.
  4. Anyone that can help a brother out finding a Ben Kweller at a decent price, it would be much appreciated <3
  5. I did notice a few places that sounded like the song fuzzed out a bit, but after giving them both a good cleaning I only hear the occasional pop now and those fuzzy places don't appear anymore. Being in such dry weather right now sure did make the vinyl want to cling to my cork matt! My first disc was really difficult to get out of the sleeve and had grit on it. Gentle Moon seems to have a never-ending pop that is a pressing issue and not just dirt. After getting mine cleaned up a bit it seems to sound fine other than a few hiccups here & there, but I think some of my popping is because of how dry and bad the static cling is right now because of the weather.
  6. My GOTGH was delivered today. Not a single wrinkle or ding to be found.. Happy days are here again
  7. Notice it says "Further editions of Ghosts of the Great Highway", meaning it's also available on CD...
  8. Indeed.... it's just in you when you have loved an artist for a really long time and have dedicated so much time & money to collecting their output
  9. It's probably the only one of his "newer style" albums I actually enjoy, and it still took me a good minute for it to get it's hooks into me, but it's his last really solid album in my opinion honestly. The music in his new albums is still great, just that rambling, mumbling vocal style is just too much for me to handle.
  10. I'm right there with you brother. I've been buying his material as fast as it could come up for pre order for years. My girlfriend still likes to pick on me for having like two shelves full of five & six copies of the same Koz records, but after Universal being such a let down and Jesu/SKM not living up to what I expected, I couldn't justify buying any of his new output. Still patiently waiting for Desertshore & MK to get a pressing....one day I tell myself, one day.....
  11. So true. I'd stopped buying his output after the first SKM/Jesu collaboration. His rambling is just not him and I doubt I will ever accept it, but I will wear holes in this repress for sure!
  12. When I woke up to so many responses on this thread after such a long pause, my first thought was "Did he start singing again or something?".... Very happy someone finally realized they could get more cash from us by just putting out his better material again
  13. I gotta give him credit for making me laugh with his one man, two way conversation in Philadelphia Cop.... MC Marky Mark gettin' fuckin' old on yo ass!
  14. "Mark the Rapper" is slightly funny, I must admit. The spoken word breakdowns get a bit tedious, but then again, the same can be said for his last few years output. I found myself at the end of the album before I realized it. Something in my brain finally slammed down the wedge that split this new him away from who he used to be as an artist, so I can finally laugh & slightly enjoy this one. Much more enjoyable than Universal Themes to me though. He actually makes a few good points during his random rants, but it's generally a good listen just for laughs while I'm baked as hell....
  15. Well, woke up to snow. South Carolina will be down for months now..... Anyone got a milk sandwich? I'm hawngryyyyy
  16. Good day folks! Haven't been by to check in lately. Going back to work and getting a normal life back sure is distracting. Hope everyone is doing well. I keep downloading stuff you post on Instagram @GHOSTDRONES, and I am running that Piano Nights album on infinite repeat! Such a wonderful background for late evenings for sure... Hope everyone has a great week!
  17. Nice purchases sir! Your collection will be something to be in awe of for quite a while me thinks
  18. Morning all. Hope everyone has a quick workday & a great weekend! Started a new job this week myself, so that little accomplishment has done a lot for my sense of self for sure. Now, to get back in school by summer hopefully...
  19. Perfect laugh after a day at work. thank you sir! I totally agree with the top highlighted portions with you for sure. AFP is solid as a musical work, but I cannot listen to it very much as it all seems to blend together a bit. Universal Themes managed to get me to buy it based on one song, but that was a very obvious mistake once I tried listening to the entire work. The bottom portion is the part that is most true to me. ATL was the very first Kozelek work to come out that I wasn't in a break neck pace to pre order or even pick up once it was out. At least he still sang the silly lyrics in harmony instead of this aging 50's rap poet shit he's doing now. I really don't care what kind of music he releases, just CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE so I can stop buying albums based on false hope that the contained material will be a return to form.... I really am at a cross roads where I find myself wondering if I continue to fill in the blank spots from his past catalog and just ignore the future releases, or do I just part with everything from his newer era & move on to giving my money to someone who is putting obvious effort into their art. Real head scratcher there... 99.99999% sure the right $ amount could take all my stuff from ATL on minus a few releases I could count on one hand....lol
  20. Ok, but local pickup only.... I can't even muster the energy to touch them much less drag them to the post office lololol
  21. Anyone wanna buy my entire Kozelek vinyl collection? After hearing a few minutes of this new blatherskite, I can hardly stand to look at them with any grain of seriousness left.....
