  1. It's funny to watch people argue about it. It's just fueled two sides of people who are arguing with almost nothing to go on - people who like the season pass are bickering that it's a sign of more things to come (with future DLC being made by Rocksteady) and people who hate it saying that it doesn't justify the $40 cost. The only real valid argument is that they want people to pay $40 extra without even giving much of a suggestion as to how much extra that will get you over six months. Everything else is just pointless arguing, which is what video game nerds are truly into. It's a messed up industry.
  2. I'm seeing them for the ten hundred billion time tomorrow night. This is the third time I'll be seeing them since they played their "final show" in Denver. I may just pick this up, though I have a French pressing of it and a first pressung already.
  3. Finally got the chance to start it tonight. I'm really enjoying it. I could see all of the batmobile stuff being tedious eventually, but so far it's still fun. 60s TV show batmobile skin is awesome. I really wish it could just look like the 60s TV batmobile, or the 1989 Tim Burton one, since those are the best batmobiles.
  4. I don't know but Germ Free Adolescents is easily one of the best rock and roll albums of all time.
  5. Every new genre name I hear is just a little bit dumber than the last one. And the worst part is...there's basically never anything new about the actual music.
  6. I think it will be exciting, especially if it cuts down on shootouts, which is what happened in the AHL. Also, a penalty puts a man back on the ice for the opposing team during 3 on 3 - I'm assuming they'd keep that aspect as well.
  7. I love a song with great lyrics, and will overlook the occasional terrible lyric from a band I otherwise like. I would say that the overwhelming majority of bands have lyrics that are more "not bad" than "actually good."
  8. I wish I had more time in Louisville. It seems like a pretty cool place.
  9. That show was really something. If anybody else is going...wear comfortable shoes! The floor is hard and really uneven.
  10. Friday night. We just got to our hotel a bit ago.
  11. I just picked up a late 50s/early 60s Kay Swingmaster. It needs electronics but plays really nice. I also need to either sand it down or do something to stabilize the finish, as it has flaked off in places. Still, cool guitar.
  12. Andrew Shaw bit Victor Hedman?? I saw them checking him out on the bench.
  13. If you're in any kind of public sector union, or anything even resembling it (I'm looking at you, anything run as a private business under direct control of the government), you're pretty much shit outta luck in most places these days. Oh hey everybody. My company transferred me to a location with a different local, so I lost my job as a business agent. As stressful as that job was, I really miss it.
  14. I'm heading to Louisville this coming weekend to see Murder By Death, followed by a short jaunt out to Nashville. I don't have a lot of time in either place, but if anybody can recommend some essential places to check out - including, but not limited to, guitar shops, record stores, weird museums and roadside america bullshit tourist trap attraction enjoyments, that would be super helpful. Thanks!
  15. It's more annoying when people are using it to discount another person's feelings.
  16. I think "first world problems" and "check your privilege" are both annoying as shit, in an intellectually bullying, liberal-guilt sort of way. I'll make an exception for "first world problems" when used ironically.
  17. Holy crap this game suddenly got interesting.
  18. I would say I used to be anxious/depressed/overworked more often. I hated where I lived, felt like my life was going nowhere, had two jobs and felt like I had to scrape to get by and that it would never end. The anxiety I felt was the skin crawling kind, like the walls were closing in and nothing I would do would feel right. Then I moved, I like my neighborhood, I'm down to one job that doesn't make me any happier but pays a lot more...the only thing that is more stressful is my schedule goes between working until midnight to working at 6 am with no regularity and not much rest. I have a kid on the way and I feel good about a lot more stuff. So yeah, I've Beem told I may be having panic attacks and getting the physical symptoms of it...I've felt like I was choking and stuff. I woke up early this morning feeling like someone punched me right over my heart. I don't think I have panic attacks until I start dwelling on the physical symptoms. I lost a friend ten years younger than me recently to a heart attack. I think I have some kind of inflammation pushing on my chest wall or diaphragm or esophagus, and the discomfort just spirals out into thinking I'm dying. I don't know though...the ER doctor wanted to be sure it was non-cardiac and my stress test was good, other than ending early due to shortness of breath. I used to bike and swim and sing and stuff...now goig up stairs is a struggle and I've gained a bunch of weight. This shit sucks. I start getting afraid my wife will come home and find me dead and it's overwhelming. Hey, guess who didn't need to know all this. Sup VC board?
