Yeah...yikes. Somewhere in here is a line that isn't super well defined.
 
at first I sort of read it as him saying he recognizes this behavior in himself and is working to eradicate it. Which, kudos I guess. It's part of learning and growing. But the implication is that he's done something ugly someone else is going to have to live with and that...too much.
 
i will freely admit that my reading of this was very much colored by my past experiences with Ian and Adam, which have all been very positive.

The recent bootleg of Loveless sounds better than the Plain reissue of it. I'm sure both are CD sourced though.
 
Hopefully my local record store can get a copy of the Hum repress in.

I saw some old school VCers at a show recently. It was loud so I wrote TEAM THUNDERCOUGARFALCONBIRD 4 LYFE I STILL BELIEVE!  and held it up for them. that got a pretty big laugh. I'm better at VC irl.

i used to like a few of their singles AT BEST, and think they were just terrible otherwise. I think it just took me some time, because that handful of songs I enjoyed helped me get into the rest of it, and in the last couple of years I guess I've just become ready to join the cult.

Actually did get shipping confirmation on this a few hours ago. Neat promotion. I hope they do more with other albums I'd want.

I fucking love this album. Chino is in amazing voice and these may be some of my favorite contributions from Frank Delgado. Probably has fewer hallmarks of Stephen Carpenter's guitar playing than most of their albums...the ones that are there really stand out.
There were even a few songs I didn't like at first that just came together by the end. If you don't like it at first, give it a chance, and a little time to grow on you.

That Suicide Machines show was the absolute worst that place has ever been. I'm not sure if there was another contributing factor, besides being oversold, but in 15 years of going there, that was truly the worst.
I'm actually a little surprised it wasn't at ROTM or State. I'm not mad about St Andrews, though. I just hope it's not a bitch to get tickets.
