  1. Talking to David Allen Scoli on Alex G's subreddit, he seems to think Race ain't getting pressed anytime soon: "Sadly, the Race or Winner albums will not be on vinyl or not in the future. They were projects done and produced by Alex himself and not a record company to produce the mass copies etc. Alex will however be focussing on his newer music and his upcoming album he is currently working on hopefully due out by 2017!" I assume this was also the case for Trick & Rules ('done and produced by Alex himself') though, so who knows? A man can dream.
  2. Ah right, cool. Didn't notice. Indeed, I've caught them a couple of times opening for King Gizz, good stuff. The limited sewer green edition is cool, but a little pricey.
  3. Ty Segal Band live is SF is up in white, black & ultra clear http://www.castlefacerecords.com/products/ty-segall-band-live-in-san-francisco
  4. Dunno about that DSU repress, but we are getting represses of TRICK (transparent gray / blue) & RULES (transparent red / maroon) shipping in August - both /300.
  5. Sweet, I missed out on the LP, will have to pick the single up - Rolling On is an awesome song
  6. Got myself a not bad deal with the Recordstore deal, took 29% off shipping too (to Aus!) and included preorders, which was sweet. Fika Recordings are having a wee sale until Sunday, they have 5 LPs up for £5 each (mostly indie & indiepop kind of stuff). Stanley Brinks and The Wave Pictures' - My Ass is really quite fantastic, particularly for £8.5 ppd. Isle Of Dogs by Tigercats Beyond The Dreams There's Infinite Doubt by Azure Blue A Thousand Half-Truths by Making Marks Album Of Death by Moustache Of Insanity My Ass by Stanley Brinks and The Wave Pictures
  7. Yeah, I get that, but we've had 2 albums in 2 years, compared to 15 or so 'albums' in the 2 years prior to that, just because of the pace of the traditional 'system' in place for professional musicians to release music (see here). I'd just love the chance to hear the demos like we used to be able to - they're good shit and I'd happily pay for them given the chance. What with the whole internet thing, and digital distribution I just feel like it should be possible. (I do realise the irony of posting this on a forum dedicated to physical media, just think it would be cool to have the best of both worlds).
  8. Shipping was horrific, but I ended up ordering the limited edition. As much as I'm looking forward to this, I kinda miss the more demo-y stuff of old. Why not both?
  9. Indeed, The Babe Rainbow are also well worth a listen - good shit. I'm pretty excited for Thee Oh See's Australian tour!
  10. Nah - just heard back from Norman Recs "just checked and they're black (we were told they were coloured). Sorry!" Still cool it got repressed though!
  11. Hmm, not sure how current it is but Norman Records have page up: 2LP on Flightless Coloured vinyl REPRESS finally back in. Very limited amount of copies available! (FLT011) Thoughts?
