I hear you on that.  The correlation between rising prices and lowering space is a true doozy, and tough to compensate for in most scenarios.  I actually blind-bought the new Mono, myself, which may have been a bit of a gamble.  I feel like For My Parents should've been enough to deter me from haphazardly giving Mono money for pre-orders, but they won my faith back with that double-album they dropped in 2014.  Plus, you know.  Albini.

It doesn't help that all SH releases are about $26 PPD for a single LP.  The only one of those that I've hopped on, myself, has been True Widow.  But only because I knew that /100 wouldn't last long at all.  I have enough faith in them to commit to a blind PO, but I'm right there with you in wanted to hear more from the other 3 before dropping cash.

For sure. The Seer is a beast of an album... but it's so very rewarding. It may be my favorite Swans release... and that's saying something, considering how much I enjoy TBK. If you can handle those 30+ minute tracks and find yourself [enjoyably] lost in repetitive grooves... you're gonna' have a great time.

I've seen some records in laughably bad condition at a HT, back when I'd check their stock periodically. Mostly due to negligence and poor stacking / shelving. But records aside, the clothing + accessories + collectibles in Hot Topic are a joke, and can't be seriously purchased.

I'd set foot into a UO well before I'd go into a Hot Topic.
