  1. That's kind of what I figured would happen with the first reunion show they did months back, when it was a huge deal and everyone was going nuts. Now I feel like they're just doing a very slow, space out tour. I don't know, they're somewhere in between at the moment. I can't imagine them ever returning to the studio, but I also don't suspect these three shows to be the last we'll ever see of them.
  2. I've been itching to tinker around in Photoshop, and I've been procrastinating on selling some records. Tonight I decided to crack open a Peace Tea, blast some tunes, and take care of both at once. Glad it's getting positive reception -- I really just wanted to do something new.
  3. Cheers. [edit] Great start, guys. If anything strikes you as just a little too steep, please don't hesitate to drop me a PM. I'm a pretty reasonable guy, and am hardly looking to make a killing in this thread.
  4. There are a few more releases I'm considering adding. But for the time being I'm just trying to clear up some shelf space and use up the mailers I've been accumulating. That is to say, I don't think I'm in dire need of selling any of these. But it sure would be nice.
  5. Definitely agree that $500+ is absurd for a record, let alone a 7". Regardless of how awesome or generic said record may be. I'm a firm believer in diversity -- I see nothing wrong with having a well-balanced collection that contains a bit of everything. (For better or worse.) I agree that sometimes you need a fun album that's brimming with energy and easy to sing along with. I personally don't turn to the bands you do for that fix, and that's not to say you're wrong for doing so. Different strokes for different folks and all that jazz. Amen on not having much money to go hog-wild on all the records you fancy. I think a lot of us are in that boat, personally.
  6. When you do three "reunion shows" back to back, I'm pretty sure you're back to being a band on tour.
  7. I know I sound like an elitist asshole, and for that I apologize. But at the end of the day, it's just my opinion... much like you have yours. I personally find a lot of pop-punk to sound like a mundane, contrived, power-chord borefest with laughable lyrics... but I won't go around saying that the genre is overrated. People like what they like.
  8. In my opinion, post-rock > 90% of the albums VC piddles themselves over. You're inclined to disagree, by all means. But let the record show that your vinyl collection is comprised of All-American Rejects, Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Limp Bizkit, and Yellowcard. To name a few. I remember when I was young and musically naïve.
  9. Are you looking to sample a song or two? Because their albums are pretty short, and - in my opinion - are probably more appreciated in full. I think I have a couple free DL codes I could hook you up with. Also: if you're somehow smitten on first listen, I'm looking to sell my spare copies of Background Music and We're Down 'Til We're Underground. 180 gram. Black wax. Sealed. Selling them at cost of what Deathwish would charge + shipping, and not a penny more.
  10. You just have to take the "normal" price of the item and add a zero. $15 CD? $150 Tool CD. $25 LP? $250 Tool LP. Easy and accurate.
  11. Those turned out great, gkersey. The burnt album title is a really nice touch.
  12. Nelso; where did you hear it? I've been looking high and low but can't find much of anything. Would love to give it a spin before deciding on a pre-order.
  13. Just wanted to say that I'm blown away by the quality of In Return. Quite possibly the nicest 10" record I own. I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting, but I do know that it was exceeded.
  14. I too am curious. Based on all of your posts, I wouldn't have guessed you have to struggle with something of that magnitude.
  15. Also; I'm assuming you have the CD, 8-track, and all vinyl variants, correct? Just need the cassette? Hang in there, dude. It'll pop up.
  16. I have this cassette but I love it way too much to ever consider parting with it.
  17. I actually misread your post and assumed the dude was selling multiple copies. I feel incredibly lucky now. I was moments away from heading out for some errands, too, but decided to procrastinate by perusing VC for a moment. Hot damn.
  18. That's actually a hell of a deal compared to normal going rates. Count me in for one. Thanks a ton for the link.
  19. False. I purchased my test straight from Graveface -- I believe it was around $35. All four copies went very quickly, and a year+ passed before one of them popped up on eBay. And that one went for $40... which is still a steal, in my opinion. Good luck on the Waiting hunt, OP.
