  1. Yeah, I know you're probably right. And that's the exact reason I'd like to sell it now. I'm just kind of aiming for a fair Paypal exchange - outside of eBay - to save both the buyer and I some money.
  2. So here's the deal. I've owned Vheissu for a handful of years now, and a couple of years back, a box of additional copies were found by the band and put on their Merchdirect page. Worried that I'd eventually wear my copy out (and being all too aware of the rarity), I picked up an extra copy at retail price. [Who wouldn't? Let's be serious.] I've held onto it over the years as means of making a trade - or selling it for cash - and now that time has come. I've never sold anything on eBay, and part of me wants to keep it that way. But at this point, I just really need some cash. I'm not looking for absolutely insane eBay prices, but this copy is sealed, and every bit of cash would go a long way for the holidays. Yes; I know that there's talk of this getting repressed sometime in the next few years. But I'm offering an OG, mint copy to any hardcore Thrice collectors out there. I'd appreciate any PMs if people are interested. Though if there's not enough interest, I'll probably end up trying my luck on eBay, this one time. Thanks for reading.
  3. I don't know how it's even possible, but somehow - someway - this thread just keeps getting better and better. Amazing.
  4. Someone should decide that they need the extra cash, and sell me a copy of that limited edition press.
  5. Yeah, no worries. I bought a new copy from another distro, and it was on white. It should still be in stock; I'll try to dig the link up for you. [edit] Just checked, it was over at Vinyl Junkie Distro. But New Distances is no longer in stock.
  6. You got me. It's definitely my magical shitty headphones altering the sound of the reissue to make it sound exactly like the old CD. I'm not sure what to tell you. I listened to the reissue as soon as it leaked, and heard an an audible increase in quality right off the bat. How were you listening to it? Because in my defense, I was indeed wearing headphones. (And nothing fancy, no less.) Blaring it through [most] speakers may muddy the new clarity.
  7. I know the requests are pretty sporadic... but surely, someone is on the fence about parting with one of the above... no? And on a semi-related note, I have a friend who's willing to pay oodles - legitimate eBay prices+ - for a copy of Thrice's Beggars on blue. If you're willing to part with it, and would like a nice lump of Christmas cash, don't hesitate to get in touch.
  8. [✓] Joke about ordering variants that don't exist. [✓] Sarcastic post about flipping / ordering mass quantities. [✓] Sardonic framing and-or wall-mounting comments. [✓] Jersey Shore .gifs. [ ] Classic "There's music on these things?!" reply. C'mon, guys. We're almost there.
  9. Is that blue opaque? Sure looks that way. Not bad, really, but despite (usually) having a distaste for white vinyl... I think it'll work wonders for this release. Perhaps it's just an association that my brain has established from seeing and hearing about countless white copies of YFW.
  10. Looking to do a little bit of last-minute shopping for my fellow record-loving friends. I've searched around for a few of these releases - and would feel a lot better buying a new or mint copy, if possible - but I'm mainly eager just to get them in time to ship out for the holidays. If you can help with any of these, I'd be super grateful. Thrice • Identity Crisis on blue. Deafheaven • Libertine Dissolves 7" Bayside • Shudder or The Walking Wounded If you have any extra Sonic Youth or New Order records, as well, I may be willing to take them off your hands. And since I'm selfish, I'm personally looking for a copy of... Gifts From Enola • From Fathoms on blue-green swirl (/100) Isis • Oceanic on coke bottle blue. Boris • Boris At Last: -Feedbacker- Any help, PMs, or responses are appreciated. Cheers.
  11. Referring to your avatar and custom text, this should come as a surprise to no one.
  12. How do so many people have an extra blue? Was the checkout glitched at Merchdirect or something? I distinctly recall adding and paying for one copy successfully.
  13. I absolutely love this label, the music, and the quality of their releases. And I've heard such phenomenal things about the people who run it. But I actually made this thread because I've never received a response from them. Ever. I believe I've (very politely) written them with inquires four times in the past. Three of them were with variant questions, and they were never answered. (So I got the impression that e-mails of that nature simply pester them.) The last time was about canceling one order, and replacing it with an additional item. Which they took care of, immediately, albeit without a response. I'll try writing again, but given my luck with a reply, I'm not exactly holding my breath. No disrespect to the label or any of its employees. I've heard nothing but praise for their customer service.
  14. You could probably redeem your comedy-cred by making a thread about MTS pre-orders.
  15. Anyone who's ordered from TRL knows of the [frequent, but not guaranteed] text in the item description; THE FIRST ### ORDERS WILL RECEIVE LIMITED EDITION COLORED VINYL: [CRAZY VARIANT]. Do they remove this text when they're no longer able to distribute the colorways? Glancing back through their catalog, part of suspects this is true. But another part of me doubts that certain releases have yet to sell 300 / 500 / copies. Can anyone confirm or deny? There are a few things I'm kind of leaning towards, and I'd like to pull the trigger if colors are still available.
  16. This has probably been answered [p]ages ago, but does anyone know which press # these reissues are?
  17. The Social Network's soundtrack is solid enough, but I still feel like $300 is a pretty big gamble on something of this nature. I have no doubt that Ross and Reznor will deliver quality music that fits the film to a T. Having heard so little of what's going to be on those 6 LPs, though... I'll be stepping back from this one, and applauding anyone who pulls the trigger. If the OST delivers, I may keep my fingers crossed for a less grandiose package, like harryq mentioned above. In the meantime, I will be looking forward to the eye-candy from anyone who uploads some pics.
  18. I'm glad this was posted twice in a row. The pretentiousness hadn't fully soaked in through the first go. Going to echo everyone who insists that this package is exceptionally well done, and totally worth the price-tag. Not that this will help anyone on the fence, since it's apparently sold out again. But still.
  19. Station; pick your own variant. $16.99. Geneva; $21 on black, $23 on clear. Same distro, so you only pay shipping once. Enjoy.
