  1. Agree with the Chinese garden for the folks. The tea room is amazing. Id also say pittock mansion is a good spot for a touristy visit.
  2. Same here with House of leaves. It was overly stylistic for my taste. Maybe one of these days I'll be giving it another shot as well though.
  3. Ayyyeee gurl. Im currently watching a 21 year old mentally challenged sex offender slop mayo on his sandwich. So fun. I'll defintely check out both of those places. Pinkys seems like a decent spot.
  4. These recommendations have been spot on for the most part. I'd defintely skip voodoo as well though. Personally, 2nd avenue records Is my favorite record store in town. The food recommendations have been great as well. Sizzle pie Is a pretty happening spot, east location has the better bar but it can be a bit overpriced. Vegan options in this city are pretty abundant too if you're into it.
  5. Oatmeal based beers im typically alright with but not a fan of IPAs either. Yeah I really dig the artwork on the New Holland bottles but I've never tried any of their brews. Hardly see that brewery out here, surprisingly.
  6. I went out with a buddy for tacos and beer and I still feel haunted by the beer I bought. It was an American wild ale brewed by The rare barrel. I believe they are located down in Berkeley, CA. Anyway, this beer had such a rad name that I decided to go for it, "shadows of their eyes". I quickly found out that this was one of the worst craft beers I've ever had. It was almost like a thick red wine! Super sour and tasted like dark fruits. Never again.
  7. I've seen so many good books on this thread! Currently Ive been caught up reading non-fiction. Right now I'm working on The failure of non-violence: from the Arab spring to occupy By Peter Gerlderloos. This author has some really valid arguments and discusses a wide variety of tactics to use within social revolutions. This fella is somebody I enjoy reading because I may not always agree with all of his view points yet I can always see the logic and rationality behind his opinions. Definitely a good read for anyone interested in anarchism! This book was also published by Left bank books in Seattle. I've never been up to that shop but seems like it'd be a decent little book store. Anyone from the area ever shop there?
