you are actually getting both, its a 2xLP, disc 1 is the re-imagined version, disc 2 is the original version.

The test press was logged in Discogs for ages glad to finally see it for sale. A little bummed it's so limited, hopefully I can grab one on the second hand market down the road

Eh. Disagree. The tone is certainly similar between their earlier material, but it's certainly more honest or straightforward lyrically than other music. Not many other people singing about getting a new therapist to make sure they are around to support their kids.

I believe they are also releasing two previously unreleased tracks this weekend.

Just got shipping notification for Silverstein, coming from Santa Ana so it should be here in a day or two. Really excited for this, one of the last full-lengths of theirs I don't have on vinyl.

Emailed them because I was curious about the date and their reply was, "The pressing plant was a bit backed up, so the records are all set to arrive here to the label in mid June. You can definitely expect an emailed tracking # right around then."

@dangerbirds unfortunately that's a default bandcamp thing where it says digital included, but we don't have the digital rights to the albums, just licenses for the vinyl reissues - sorry!

I gotta say I think Homestar Runner still holds up as much as anything. I think it helps that they never relied on reference-based humor (well, current references anyway) or crudeness (nothing at all against crudeness, it just doesn't age well. Don't see a lot of nostalgia being expressed for Happy Tree Friends). They're just weird little cartoon people executing a very specific brand of humor.
And they do put out new stuff every so often - probably 2-3 toons a year plus random side project things like the Trogdor board game. They just put out a DOS game play-along video with puppet Strong Bad two weeks ago:
