I really dislike this arrangement of paying upfront for records which may or may not go into production at some vague point in the future. If a record label can't front the cost for a record they believe will recoup their investment then are they really a record label? I'd consider that a minimum requirement. I'd buy this if it existed.

As has been said, Deathwish are as good as you'll find when it comes to customer service. I'm sure if you contact them they'll find an acceptable solution. The record in question wasn't pressed by Deathwish, but Lifeline. It probably left one box and went straight into yours. I haven't heard of any general issues with that pressing. A replacement will likely solve your issues.
