  3. There was an email update about a delay several weeks ago First of all... thank you again for your support and DOUBLE thank you for your patience! The Ska Against Racism vinyl is pressed, printed, and on its way to Bad Time Records HQ from the pressing plant in Europe. It's expected to arrive the last week of November / First week of December - once it does, myself, Mike Park, and some friends will start working ASAP to get these shipped out to you. It's a big job but we can't wait to get them in your hands. Records will begin shipping December 4th and into that next week. You should expect them in the mail the week of December 14th. This unfortunately coincides with the busiest mail time of year, so I ask that you please be patient with us and USPS once these ship! You will receive a tracking number as soon as they go out - if you don't get one, please feel free to reach out and check. Trust me that we will do our absolute best to get these packed up and shipped to you as fast as possible.
  4. Those always go so fast. I would like the opportunity to be able anguish for a least a minute or two about whether or not I want to drop that kind of cash for some silly plastic, at least once.

  6. I'm partial to Shotgun Willie myself, but can't go wrong with RHS or anything from that era. Enjoy

  15. UDiscover sends shipping notices. I've had good and bad experiences with them. Once it was nearly a month before the order (nothing was a pre-order) I placed shipped. Other times I got a quick shipping notice. Items were packed well.

  17. I had the exact opposite experience. My shop (with 3 locations) had 3 copies of Skid Row, but zero NIBs. I got skid row easily, but still no luck on a reasonably priced NIB.
  18. Since breaking through in 2014 with his Grammy nominated Metamodern Sounds in Country Music album, Sturgill Simpson has established himself as one of the most daring and most acclaimed artists of our time. His music stretches across genres and styles, from the psychedelic soul of 2016's A Sailor’s Guide To Earth (Grammy nominated for Album of the Year and winner for Best Country Album) to the fuzzed-out rock attack of Sound & Fury in 2019. Now Simpson returns to the music of his native Kentucky with his first bluegrass project, Cuttin’ Grass - Vol. 1 (The Butcher Shoppe Sessions). The album, which he calls "a mixtape for the fans," was dreamed up while he was recovering from Coronavirus, and sees him reimagining songs from across his catalogue backed by some of Nashville's finest acoustic virtuosos. "All the songs I’ve ever written were written on one guitar, my old Martin D-28, and sung in a fashion that's probably closer to bluegrass than to anything else," Simpson explains. "I had it in my mind for a long time that someday I want to cut as many of these songs as possible in this fashion, just organic and stripped down to the raw bones of the composition. If you can’t sit down and play a song like that, it’s probably a pretty shitty song.” Standard black: https://shop.sturgillsimpson.com/product/X9LPSS05/cuttin-grass-vinyl-2-lp-set?cp=107457_108821 Green & Yellow indie variant: https://www.bullmoose.com/p/34838277/sturgill-simpson-cuttin-grass-vol-1-the-butcher-shoppe-sessions-2-lp-indie-retail-exclusive-opaque-yellow-opaque-green-vinyl
  19. I'll third that. Excellent soundtrack. Still listen to it to this day.
  20. Interesting. I don't think any of GD's records sound like Insomniac, so I can see how that could be a favorite. Dookie is their best, most consistent record without a doubt. However, my fave would be either Warning or Kerplunk.
  21. In (hopefully) for DBT, Uncle Tupelo and the Prine box
  22. Agreed. While I can be a sucker for a good covers album, most of the choices here seem to be pretty uninspired and typical. Automatic disqualification for "Kids in America." The world doesn't need another cover of this fucking song for a very long time.
