I should've waited for Dead Broke to post it, could've saved a few dollars. Humbug.

They're pretty crappy. I've opened two of them, and received 1 donut and 750 money. Most of them have money.

I thought it was alright. Better than #2, but still really not all that great. I felt like every detail was spoon-fed to me, and nothing at all really came as much of a surprise. Maybe I'm just expecting too much.

Reddit is only as good as you make it. If you just go to the default front page, it's all going to be dumb memes, pictures of cats, and quotes about god's lack of existence. I think some people mistake that for what the entire website is. If you unsubscribe from the default subs, and find the smaller communities that are passionate about a specific topic, there's a lot of really solid information and discussion to be found on Reddit.

They have some pretty stupid posts, but I've noticed that at least their threads manage to stay on topic. They're also way less dick/elitist when people post stupid shit.

Fuck that. Feedback is a relatively new feature for VC - tons of solid traders here don't have any feedback, doesn't mean they're any less legitimate. Not to mention, at least in my dealings on the new board, not all that many people leave feedback. I've sold way more then I have received feedback for.

I started construction on the final prize early this morning. Not going to bother with these mystery boxes.

Just an FYI, if you go into the settings, there's an option for it to prompt you with an "Are you sure" message whenever you click on a donut purchase. Has saved me tons. (For obvious reasons, the default is "off")

I don't know about disheartening; I'd say ideally we would live in a world where this wouldn't be news. It should just be another facet of everyday life. I suspect that wasn't the angle your Twitter feed was aiming at, however. (And in their defense, that dog balancing shit on its head was awesome!) I think it's great that he's proudly living in the open now, though I don't exactly think it's a coincidence that he waited until his season was over, and he essentially became a FA. As much as I'd like to see him continue playing, he's pretty old by pro sports standards, and wasn't exactly racking up minutes this season.

Yeah. I see the light at the end of the tunnel as well, and man do I hope to hit it soon. This has definitely been the most tedious of all their seasonal events. (Which I suppose makes up for Valentine's Day being so easy!)

In my experience, new means played once to ensure no skips, while used generally (but not always) implies shrinkwrap. Food for thought...

I don't really buy tapes, but I can vouch that these guys make good music!

It used to be where if the recipient/sender had max friends, it wouldn't allow them to receive/send requests. Not sure if they've changed that or not.

Eh, it's a trade-off. I figure all the trash I did keep (I clean up the vast majority of it) would've yielded maybe one or two donuts, so in that regard I can just consider them all really cheap premium decorations.

Given how absolutely insane those eBay listings of the Gaslight prints were back in January, this doesn't seem all that surprising. I have the first few prints he did for the band, and while I have no intention of selling them, I was damn tempted after seeing those auctions end.

Just got my copy today, great stuff! On the bright side, at least this wasn't as limited as the Steinways/Varsity Weirdos Wedding 7"!

You can have Homer and Lisa tag-teaming the trash pile. I've used quite a bit of trash as decorations, but what I don't use has been mostly cleaned up so far.

Nope, it's all one by one. I think the bombing is just leaving a ton of eggs at once, not with one tap.

I have the same problem. I had 2 I couldn't find, then got egg bombed and now there's 9 I can't find. I've tried looking with buildings invisible as well as decorations invisible, but I just can't find them. Drives me crazy! Fat Tony's Compound just finished building - finally done with all buildings. Now I've just gotta somehow find the money to buy the remainder of the land so I can do something with all these buildings I have clumped up.

Yeah, I'm all the way NE and all the way SW, but that SE corner is expensive as all hell.

I got really bored tonight while procrastinating. Bought a whole crap ton of land and rebuilt a solid chunk of my town. Now I'm broke. The land gets so fucking expensive.
