  1. Hey, I won too...not sure who through - pretty sure Union Events.
  2. I could do 8pm est./5pm pst. It's my kid's birthday party earlier in the day, so it makes it tough to go much earlier. I'll go with the flow though and make it work.
  3. Good to know... I liked his first couple issues of Hawkeye, Underwater Welder was interesting too. I'll pick it up.
  4. Since the Canadian dollar has sunk in the last couple of months, comic prices have gone back up in the local stores. Since they list everything so far in advance, I started pre-ordering through Amazon to get the pre-order price guarantee - it seems to have paid off - the prices on trades just went up on Amazon Canada. They used to offer 37% off on most hardcovers, and 28% off on paperbacks - they've both dropped to 16% and 11% at best. Anyways....what is the consensus on Descender? Is it any good? Any other Image books worth picking up.... I've read/reading Fatale/Fade Out Chew Saga
  5. I'm good with Sunday if it's a later start on the East Coast.
  6. I snagged the first Flight of the Conchords! Thanks very much.
  7. Alright, postage in Canada is expensive (I sent a double LP tracked a couple of weeks ago and it cost almost $20....). I'm hesitant to post prices, if you are interested in anything PM me and we can hammer out a price....bearing in mind that LPs are about $12.00 ship and 7"s are $4.00 too. If you get more than one we can definitely work out a deal as shipping will be the bulk of the price if you buy one. I'm not looking to make a mint, just paring down the collection. All are in great shape...unless otherwise stated. 10" Face to Face: The Other Half RSD 10" Gaslight Anthem - Hold You Up - Red vinyl RSD !0" Face to Face - All For Nothing 10" NOFX - Hardcore 10" 12" Teenage Bottlerocket - Freak Out Pink Classics of Love -ST - Red vinyl Arcade Fire - Sprawl / Ready to Start 12" NOFX - Decline Pic Disc Hot Water Music - Live in Chicago - 3 LP Flight of the Concords - I Told You I was Freaky (Purple) - SOLD Against Me - Transgender Dysphoria Blues... pink Me First Gimme - are we not men, we are diva - pink Cheap Girls - My Roaring 20s Cheap Girls - Giant Orange Titus Andronicus - Record Store Day 7" oldplay - Every teardrop is a waterfall (blue) corner bent in shipping, diecut sleeve Frank Turner / Franz Nicolay - sing noel coward (blue) vinyl The Horrible Crowes - Lady Killer - colour vinyl, not opened, I think it was the SRC exclusive White Stripes - Hand Springs - Red vinyl - RSD Tim Barry / Frank Turner - Try this at Home - Pink, also have blue The Vines - Fuck the World - white vinyl John K Samson - Provincial Road 222 - Euro Press, black Karen Elson - Milk and Honey - clear orange vinyl - RSD Julian Casablancas - 11th Dimension - RSD Fucked Up - Remember Me James Brown - There it Is w/ Pass the Peas - RSD Cobra Skulls / Andrew Jackson Jihad - Under the Influence Series Black/White split Billy Bragg - No One Knows Nothing Anymore - RSD Menzingers - The Obituaries / Burn After Writing Joey Cape/Mike Hale - Under The Influence - clear yellow

  9. I was out of town and couldn't comment. I could make it work either way. I'd like to keep Seguin, but I see the benefits of mixing up the top tier. I could also do another year of the old system if people need time to get used to the idea.
  10. About 2 years ago, an excellent member bought like 30 copies of the Con Exclusive Hallowe'en Soundrack. It was a legendary move and really appreciated. I'm paring down my collection and It has come time to part with mine, I want to pass it on for what I paid for it...$30, shipping from Canada is a fortune, so I can get it out to you for $45 total to the US or Canada. I also have a bunch of other LPs/10" I can put in the box too for relatively cheap. PM me for more details. PM me if you are interested.
  11. The Weakerthans are/were amazing, just thought I'd join the party. John K. Samson's solo record from 2012 is pretty fantastic also. I'm a big fan of the Lowest of the Low from the early 90s (reformed a couple of times since).... Shakespeare My Butt was rereleased a couple years ago and is a great album. The second one is good too. They mixed fast/slow songs really well. I also ran into KJ of Chixdiggit at the Fat Tour in Toronto, they put out some incredibly fun records too.
  12. I wonder how much of the crowd problems were.... not advertised as a PPV until, like, last week - die-hards weren't prepared to travel. I also wonder If the chamber takes people out of it...it must be hard to see what is going on, you'd have to watch the screen and that's a split second behind the action in the ring.
  13. Happy Free Comic Book Day! Hopefully everyone had a great day at their shop. My store had a colouring contest for kids, and up to 8 comics (four as a base, then an extra 2 for a food bank donation and 2 extra for a costume. We brought in a big bag of food but no costumes. The Kaboom one has about a 10 different stories in it, a great start for the kids. As an aside, If anyone is interested in any of the Marvel Star Wars titles (S.W., Vader, Leia, and Kanan) I've got the digital codes for all of them, I can get them to you for a buck a piece. I have the new Hawkeye 1 and 2 and some other ones too.
  14. I'm heading to Toronto. Crazy good line up. The Summer Nationals tour was there last year, and the Rancid/Transplants festival the year before.
  15. I grabbed the Tim Kasher/Chris Farren thanks! I'll post some tonight.
  16. Title says it all... I ended up with an extra, if anyone wants it 18.00 ppd in North America. It'll work out to under cost.
  17. I think it's fair that his Dad speaks for him. He's in the middle of a playoff series and he's only just 18.... 18 year olds aren't know for their media savvy...he did alright on HNIC but I can see why they didn't open him up to general questions.... Side note... I got tickets to the Otters/Ice Dogs game here in Niagara on March 22nd....of course McDavid was scratched...the whole place erupted with boos... I did get to see Strome win the scoring record with some unbelievable play.
  18. I think Twin Peaks is going to be a Death Waltz release, Mondo has been distributing their releases lately.
  19. He really would have changed anywhere he landed. I would have liked to see him in Buffalo....if there was ever a city that needed a boost.
  20. You've got to ship to Canada, but I have to ship to you too! ...maybe someone is having second thoughts on their Hold Steady or Dave Hause "Home Alone" and needs the ETID. Let me know what you think.
