I actually have the Adventure Island one and all three of the Nintendo Funhouse 7"s. The Adventure Island one isn't that great. It has the game music but an announcer talking over it. It's a fun release, but I wish it was the game music. The Metroid/Kid Icarus 7" is definitely the hardest to find. I was the highest bidder on the recent auction but got outbid at 40,000 yen. Was going to replace my copy, which has some surface noise that I wish wasn't there.

The Aquabats announced a new 7" single (Dr. Space Mummy) earlier today and in the comments on Instagram they said a vinyl reissue of The Fury of the Aquabats was coming soon. I have as well. I had a package shipped from Japan on December 16th and no update since it left Japan. I'm really bummed and anxious since there's a record in the package that I've been looking for for many years and haven't seen one for sale until the one I bought.

The comps are called Trick or Treat. I think they're up to volume 9 and each one is well over an hour long. There are some great and rare songs on them. I listen to them year round.

Coming up in October, Waxwork Records is releasing the soundtrack to Mad Monster Party, which would be a fun addition. You might have already seen my comment on Reddit, but I'll have to say it again, thanks for a much needed reissue! After years of looking, I finally got an original for an amazingly low price, but will more than likely pick this one up. I always get people asking what it is when I DJ some of their songs, mostly U.R.E. and Don't Just Sit There. It'll be nice to direct people your way as an affordable way to get it.

I remember a few months back, Data Discs posted something on Twitter about finding out that a title they were prepping was getting bootlegged. With it being a SEGA property, I wouldn't be surprised if Ecco was the title they were talking about. If it was, hopefully we'll still see a Data Discs version, which I'm sure will be much better.

Crazy enough, my package actually showed up today. The mailer was a little beat up with lots of notes written on it about sending it to different stations. In your case, it makes TOTAL sense to send to Georgia. Way to go USPS (slow clap)

As I'm sure members who live in Chicago can agree with this statement, seriously FUCK the Chicago Metro Hub. I have a package with two records that I have rarely seen for sale coming from Japan. It's been roughly 27 days since they first shipped. About 17 of those days are days where my package went MIA in that black hole at the Metro Hub. It's been very frustrating since the lady who I spoke with, who also rarely answers their phone or returns messages, basically said they're gone unless they randomly get scanned somewhere. Guess we'll see what happens. Such a bummer

My Gillman variant from Norman records came in today. Although I'm normally not one to collect multiple variants of records, I couldn't help myself with the Monster Squad 7"s. I love this movie too much. The complete set looks great together!

I just noticed that on the back cover of the 7" it says the full soundtrack will be out Halloween. So it looks like we'll be waiting a bit for that to come out.

If no one finds a buddy to pick them up a Wolfman variant this weekend, the Bloody Disgusting post said that they're premiering that variant there and then will be sold on Mondo's website. So hopefully there will be some leftovers going online. So if they might sell the leftovers online after this weekend, maybe they'll be for sale this upcoming Wednesday.

If anybody in the UK could help me out with getting the Gillman 7" I can pay for it or do an exchange for the Frankenstein one. Either way, I really have to try and get all four. Does anyone else think there might be a fifth variant for The Mummy? Maybe another con exclusive.

I can kinda see why they're so much. Back when the Friday the 13th blood filled record was made, I vaguely remember seeing how the records are assembled. It was explained that to create it they needed to press two separate single sided records that would eventually be sealed together with the liquid inbetween. This being a 2lp set and needing to have four separate records pressed in small quantities had to have been pricey to produce, not including the labor of having to hand assemble each one. Assuming these are made by the same guy, the process is probably the same. I still think it's horribly expensive, but that's why I assume the price is so high. I still might try and get one but won't be upset if I don't get it.
