  1. saw Weezer open for the Foo Fighters last night... show was pretty cool, not much of a Foo Fighters fan except for color and the shape, Grohl is a bit of a self indulgent twat though. Weezer played 35 mins (bummer), Foo Fighters about 3 hours lol
  2. Holy shit, love both of these bands! will be interested to see what these albums sound like as I haven't heard anything new from either of them for a number of years... Are there any teasers or tracks out yet?
  3. Man that Subrosa sounds fucking excellent, any distro's/labels in other countries getting any of these? If not might have to pull the trigger on that gold....
  4. excellent news, these guys are from my home town (kinda) saw them play a rare live show last year was awesome like everything they do.
  5. Wow some good shot coming up hopefully of those listed: Mizmor Tool - would be cool but not overly concerned, imo their quality has been on decline since Aenima 3 albums in 22 years lel Sleep ( is this still meant to happen)? Khorada Nothing American nightmare
  6. Satyricon do nothing for me, to be fair I haven't listened to them much at all... I got through about 5 mins of this and just felt like I'd rather put on some early Opeth... Favourite Opeth albums? Blackwater park Still life My arms your hearse Ghost reveries
  7. Speaking of post black metal: https://chaosmoon.bandcamp.com/album/eschaton-m-moire The best you will hear from 2017
  8. http://www.cvltnation.com/cvlt-nations-top-13-black-metal-releases-2017/ Cvlt nation's best black metal 2017 list, some good stuff that has been rec-d in this thread (dawn rayd, black cilice), some stuff I need to check (viodsphere), Chaos Moon at no.1 and gotta say after finally getting the vinyl it is an absolute gem.
  9. http://://fallsofrauros.bandcamp.com/album/vigilance-perennial Late to the party on this, cracking album post folk Agallochy stuff.
  10. Albums I've enjoyed: Elder - Reflections of a floating world Spirit Adrift - Curse of conception Ragana - You take nothing Bell Witch - Mirror reaper Tchornobog - Tchornobog Oxbow - The thin black duke Amenra - Mass VI Artificial Brain - Infrared horizon
  11. Aha it was actually A Quiet Place they played first my bad, for some reason I get those 2 tracks mixed up... Saw them play departure songs in full last time and whilst a good show it was ruined by the DJ in the Bar next door blaring over the quiet moments... I preferred this show anyway I think - the Cult of ISIS heavy tracks of TQPOE mixed with the more melodic Departure Songs material made for a more interesting show, probably because I was stone cold sober so needed the change up to keep things interesting lol
  12. the Cobalt reissues are great - Gold /100 copies still available of both from profound lore
  13. was pretty huge on BTBAM during the Silent Circus, Alaska, Colors era, the great misdirect and some of the parallax stuff was decent but like others I lost interest a bit... I kinda feel like Alaska was peak BTBAM for me Selkies is soooo good
  14. Saw We Lost the Sea play to about 80 people last night on their 5 years since TQPOE tour played a mix of the old stuff with a guest vocalist and departure songs, about a 50/50 split. Opened with an abridged version of With Grace and closed with A Gallant Gentleman two of my favourite tracks... Picked up the TQPOE repress with the blue and baby Blue, was the only version they had...
  15. Dang they're moving fast! Decided to come out and see We Lost the Sea tonight instead so no ocean for me :-(
  16. I saw that... not super familiar with some of the stuff on the release schedule, new Mizmor is exciting though the album from last year was huge
  17. My favourite Australian eco/folk BM band Encircling Sea name your price dl of their last album https://encirclingsea.bandcamp.com/album/a-forgotten-land-3 New album coming soon, excited!
  18. Haha I'm with you there... Oxblood to me, should be transparent red with some black whisps through it.
  19. This came yesterday giving it a spin now bit more death metal influence than the first album (I may have already said this) but still really good... Didn't realise Ox blood was maroon lol
  20. Yeah wouldn't go near anything Judd touches, I'm sure it will be fine, although there have been some similar marketing strategies on social media to some of his infamous schemes... If as claimed he has only employee level involvement I'm not sure why the label would be letting him promote the releases, it taints their reputation...
