  1. That happens online with most things I see sell out. It must be the bots and not the fact that people actually want what is being sold.
  2. Portland at the very least in the NW but I imagine they’ll make it out east if they really are adding more dates. I hope they announce them soon so I can just skip the second night for Portland instead if they come down here. I wonder who the special guest openers are.
  3. According to Sargent House on IG, there will be more dates and they’ll post an announcement when the cancelled tickets are going up for these two shows.
  4. I’m wondering the same thing. Probably just going to aim for night 1 tickets first so I at least get something and then buy night 2 after that.
  5. I always overestimate how fast shows will sell out, but I’d say these will at least sell out by the end of tomorrow. I’m still going to treat it like seconds like Derek said. Going to have my girlfriend grab tickets for the second night while I get ones for the first. We are going to that Numero thing in LA the weekend before, doing Disneyland the whole week with my family and then flying up to Seattle in time for the Friday show. Going to be way too busy.
  6. I had a chance to listen to this yesterday and the album rules. Really didn’t like Noah at first as I previously commented but it sounds better to me when listening to the whole album. I have always reaaaaally disliked Birds in Row with singing. I’ll be damned if Trompe L’oeil isn’t the absolute shit though and now I kind of want a whole album like that.
  7. I am a sucker for pastels and really like that yellow even though it doesn’t match the cover. I somehow don’t own any Hop Along records and might buy that one soon.
  8. They are on hiatus according to a comment from Chris Collis on the Dead Bird Instagram page. That was 5 months ago though, so who knows.
  9. I’ve just gone a bit crazy with my record purchasing lately. I’m sure this won’t be around in a few weeks but I’ll maybe grab it if it is.
  10. I’m really loving the bonus discs. Some of it is a little weird (that wah wah thing on Pot Kettle Black) and almost too demo sounding (drums on Ashes of American Flags), but otherwise everything is really solid. That version of Jesus Etc. without strings alone makes it worth it.
  11. Really want that deluxe version but need to force myself to not buy it.
  12. I totally forgot that this album is a thing and I ordered a copy. Just checked my email and I guess I missed that mine shipped already. It won’t be here until next week unfortunately.
  13. I got my tickets too. Now I just need to put some money away for plane tickets down. So stoked to see Codeine again. Oof, didn’t know where the venue is at but that sounds awful. I’m going to be happy and slightly irritated if Codeine announces a tour after I just spent $300 pretty much specifically to see them. Already seeing Unwound three times that month and everything else is just a bonus.
  14. I figured all the Numero threads would be popping off this morning but since Codeine is easily the biggest draw, thought I’d leave this here. Looks like I am going to LA. ”Twenty years is a long time to do anything, let alone a record company. Especially in the 21st century. Somehow Numero managed to survive downloading, the collapse of several distributors, streaming, vinyl, and the ever evolving and particular tastes of the average reissue connoisseur, and has arrived in its second decade doing our most adventurous work. We were ten when we began looking at ’90s indie as a potential source of artists ripe for rediscovery. We spent Numero’s teenage years making lavish box sets for Codeine, Unwound, and Karate, just like we wished we had in our actual teenage years in the 1990s. Numero Twenty is a reissue of a feeling, of an era. Those beforetimes when we weren’t connected electronically and found out about cool shit through Letraset flyers and word of mouth; of mix tapes, and letters, and beat up atlases in the glove box. Spread out over two nights, Numero Twenty will bring to the stage 10 dynamic combos from our 200-line universe, including Unwound, Codeine, The Hated, Karate, Ida, Chisel, Everyone Asked About You, Rex, and Ui. Headquartered at Downtown LA’s historic Palace Theater, Numero Twenty will sprawl out across all three floors, with multiple bars, food vendors, and a pop up record store located inside.”
  15. Not sure if they were all drunk or something but the Pavement show I saw a couple weeks back was rough as hell, even by Pavement standards. They couldn’t keep time at all and it was pretty hard to listen to. Stephen seemed like he gave zero shits about being there. It was weird. I was fairly young when I saw them on their last tour and don’t remember much, so I’m not sure if it was like that back then too.
