  1. Bumping this because these are dwindling. I'd rather see you buy it for $10 now instead of paying $40 or something stupid on eBay next year. And hey, maybe check out some of the other super great and fancy yet incredibly inexpensive records we've put out recently. http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com
  2. Yep, I checked Discogs too. They break down the first two pressings, not the third.
  3. Anybody have any idea how many copies were in the Sargent House pressing of Enter back in 2009? Deadformat is telling me 600 of the grey/black. Where there other colors?
  4. Bumping this. Record is coming out Tuesday. You can stream the whole thing now on Bandcamp, including the Jawbreaker cover. Jah bless. Also here's a music video for "Nein"
  5. For anyone who missed out, they're selling the individual 7"s for $5 a pop (and $20 for the 4 they have available, last I checked). Same link above. No Black Flag one though.
  6. I think the release being out of print is as smooth as it can go, so 100% success! They released the 7"s one at a time. The 4 bands would play a show together every few months and the 7" was free for everyone who came to the show. There was a bit of a lull in the shows towards the end so the last show (which was a few weeks ago) they gave away the last 2 7"s to everyone who was there. They also printed up 100 of the wood boxes (I think there were 250 of each 7") and had those for sale separately as well as any leftover 7"s from the shows. I think they put aside a handful of boxes just for people from out of town and gave people ample notice when it was going on sale. Surprised they lasted 2 hours. Anyhow, cool project. I want to do something similar with Chicago bands for an alt-rock/grunge series. Maybe in 2015.
  7. I have nothing to do with it, actually. Just spreading the word. Tons of people were asking the bands about it, so I imagine these copies won't last long. Given that people routinely pay $23 for a single LP these days.....$50 for a fancy wood 5x7" box set seems pretty "reasonable" to me, especially when the all the money goes to charity. I dunno. Different strokes.
  8. So Hellmouth, Child Bite, Old Gods and Golden Torso did a 7" series whereby the bands all covered American hardcore bands. Each band contributed a song or two to 5 different 7" records that were released as show-giveaway exclusives. They then made these pretty little silkscreened wood boxes for them. There were 25 sets left and they went on sale 90 minutes ago. No idea if there are any left, but here's your only chance to get one if you want it.... http://corpseflowerrecords.storenvy.com/products/9747853-american-hardcore-box-set
  9. It took them a long time to sell 1000 of the first Superdrag record and that had the nostalgia factor going for it. Lees of Memory has never even played a show so it's basically selling on hype/word of mouth alone. Frankly, I'm surprised they sold 500 of them almost entirely in pre-orders as it is. I can certainly wait for the repress.
  10. Bumped because I finally got around to ordering this today and it was sold out. Oops! Guess I will have to just hang out with those MP3s until they (maybe) one day tour.
  11. Milwaukee's VOLUNTEER harks back to the days when music could be heavy without being "metal"; when power came from the intensity with which a band's members played, not from volume, effects, or theatrics. VOLUNTEER's new 4 song 10" Goner perfectly encapsulates their ethos - brutal riffs hammered out with a directness that defies classification or easy comparisons. But hey, if you want to try, think Unsane, The Melvins, Young Widows, Helmet, The Jesus Lizard, etc. Goner is a 4-song 10" on red/black OR pure black vinyl pressed in the US by United Record Pressing. Hand screen-printed cover. Includes digital download card. Only 200 red/black copies and 100 black copies were pressed. Stream the whole thing now! And hey, there's a Jawbreaker cover on here, ya know. https://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/goner
  12. You can buy the tapes now! A whopping $3. Limited to 25! http://coldslithertapes.bandcamp.com
  13. Probably like $3 plus $2 for shipping. Will get those up as soon as they are done. We are hand-screening the cassette shells ourselves like idiots, and I think we are doing that on Tuesday night.
  14. Haha, it's all good man. For some reason that made me think of a "bat wing" aka a nutsack stretched out too look like a batwing. I've been watching too many of these old late 90s/early 00s tour vids that I'm ripping because that's the kind of shit that is all over these tapes.
  15. No moral high ground. Just a topical joke. I am also familiar with this forum as I have been around more than long enough to remember when people wanted to check out new stuff, not just Disney picture disc represses, so I figured it was cool to post this. No dis or political opinion was implied, though I do think both bands have been bad for like a decade and a half. Maybe more. So there's that, I guess?
  16. This isn't a record, it's a tape! And you don't need to buy it. You can stream it for free! And the past tense of "make" is "made."
  17. Also, we've never punched any women onstage nor have we suggested that police who shoot unarmed black teenagers should be given donations. We've also never called anyone out publicly for doing so. Basically, we just want to hang out and get ripped on seltzer.
  18. PINK GUYS are a DIY punk band from Chicago that started in the year 2014 as a side project to their other more famous punk band while their guitarist dug up dinosaur skeletons and Jesus scrolls in Peru. This supergroup trio plays short melodic catchy punk songs and drink a whole hell of a lot of seltzer. Potential fans would include people who are nostalgic about their not so joyous 1990's memories and 30 something year old, pop punk, heart throb, jaded, sad, unhip, losers. Come be friends with the guys, or just sit back and think about all But please listen, be a Pink Guy with the PINK GUYS. the debut 12 song full length cassette titled "2342" will be available in August as a split cassette release from Be Happy Records and Cold Slither Tapes. Stream/DL/purchase here: https://pinkguys.bandcamp.com/album/2343 Tapes will be ready this weekend. Gotta screen the shells still. Also, come see us play live! https://www.facebook.com/events/333305016846737/ Not vinyl, but if someone wants to put it out, holler at us!
  19. There are a few versions of it, but that's the entirety of Rescue's vinyl discography. 100-120 or so copies with vellum envelope on baby blue with labels on wrong side (tour version) 100 copies with vellum envelope on baby blue w/correct labels (mailorder/tour version) 200 copies on baby blue w/standard cover 200 copies on black w/standard cover Probably some "promo cover" copies on black or maybe mis-labeled blue.
  20. Three 2000-2002 era defunct gems from Chicago/Milwaukee area. Hero of a Hundred Fights - most underrated short-lived post-hardcore mathy whatever band of all time http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-remote-the-cold Runner I honestly have no idea where to tell you to find anything by them. CD/LP on Sickroom but it's not streaming anywhere that I could find instantly. Should be on iTunes and Amazon and whatnot though so you can probably peep it there. Check Engine Same thing, only the full length CD was on Southern (vinyl on Sickroom).
  21. Yeah that was later era RESCUE. Definitely darker and less like the "emo revival" stuff blowing up now. Sadly, I can tell you right now there will more than likely never be a reunion. Al is on some new age native American trip on the east coast. All the other guys are still playing in bands (Child Bite, Jamaican Queens). Might be some vinyl reissues happening at some point though. But hey, this is a sweet short set from 2002 so enjoy that!
  22. Figured this was probably worth sharing if so. With the emo revival in full swing people gotta be getting down on this stuff again. Just uploaded this video of short, but complete sets from Rescue and Grayson from the 2002 tour we did for our split 7".
