What's your latest purchase?
Monastic_mike replied to ajxd's topic in Turntables & Other Audio Equipment
Just received my 2m Blue cart. replacing a Red. Only 2 hours in and I notice the imaging/sweet spot is much larger when sitting in the usual spot. Very excited! -
I really like the "Blake Bags". They are a super tight fit so I have a pack of both sizes. When looking at the spine the bag basically disappears.

we can help VINYL COLLECTIVE for LP release
Monastic_mike replied to xlovecolouredx's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I have a list of albums that were never pressed on vinyl that I'd love to have. I don't think enough people would be into these bands enough to just recoup expenses. Which is all I'd hope for personally. -
I almost forgot. I picked up the remastered Queen is Dead by the Smiths.

Haujobb Albums on VINYL
Monastic_mike replied to Monastic_mike's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Agreed. Lots of good stuff on the Wax Trax site still. I'm not sure what her plans are for the label but I'd personally love to see them do some reissues. I agree with you regarding sorely needed releases on wax. So many bands had really good albums I'd kill to have on vinyl (diatribe, Swamp Terrorists, Auschwitz46 (before becoming Terminal 46), Hate Dept, Contagion PCB, Christ Analog, Penal Colony, I could go on and on). As for 242, their early stuff is amazing and I've been slowly getting as much as I can (wax). My favorite "piss off the neighbors" record is Tyranny For You (followed by Only Theater of Pain by Christian Death). It sounds better than most new industrial today. In 2004, I had a chance to open for Haujobb. They had some visa issue and that was that. They are pretty great though. -

I had a few AD cd's back then. They were good. Never really followed them. semi unrelated news hit my ears that Digital Poodle is reissuing a few albums on vinyl. Looking forward to owning Division! On vinyl. -
Haujobb Albums on VINYL

Better Homes was my intro. This was around the time Solutions was coming out. I'm a longtime fan as well. Stotming the Base also has vinyl issues from Noise Unit and FLA, if you were a fan of the remix wars series they have those too. The Haujobb releases are limited to 500 each (300 black and 200 color) so I'd imagine these will sell through quickly. I placed my order a few days ago and am told that the batches are back from the presser and headed to Canada for NA distribution. Mine are expected to shop early October. -
Wasn't sure if any knew about this (or if anyone cares) but Haujobb's early discography is being issued on vinyl. Freeze Frame Reality Homes and Gardens Ninety Nine Solutions for a Small Planet US and canada can buy here Europe can buy here

Museummouth: thanks I will check those out. highfive: awesome! Added to cart! in addition to soundscapes and such I'd also like more of the campy stuff (like monster mash) and stereotypical, campy fun Halloween stuff. -

Thanks, err, anything in particular you'd recommend? -
My daughter and I LOVE Halloween. Every year in early October we hit the craft stores for paints and stuff for our annual Halloween craft night. On Halloween craft night we carve our pumpkins, decorate our little apartment, make and eat treats (baked pumpkin seeds, Carmel apples, etc) and do arts and crafts all while listening to Halloween music. For this year I want to add to my small collection of Halloween records. I've got a sound effects record and the Monster Mash album (forgot the name). What else should I get? I'll start my discogs searches early. thanks!
