  2. Batman Begins The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Rises Thanks!
  3. I've seen the band live 3 times in the last 10 years and they were fantastic each time. I miss Jeremy on the kit, but his replacement is a badass too tho.
  4. There's a middle age vibe for sure on this LP. T-Shirt, La Dee Da, Sunday Rain and the title track are among the tracks that have that strong Beatles, Motorhead, and Led Zep vibe. But Run and The Line still give is that signature Foo sound. Sky Is A Neighborhood gives me a Black Mountain vibe which Grohl has said he loves. It's a very unique track to hear from them and was a breath of fresh air. Arrows (my favorite track on the album) has a unique Foo/Queen blend. The instrumentation and production are spot in on. If they would've toned down the classic rock vibes just a tad, I'd probably put it up there with the first few albums. That being said, I enjoyed this album ALOT. This is def an album to enjoy on wax.

  9. I assume D was referring to the seller from Germany, asking 31.05 shipped for the colored variant. But that Juno blows it away.
  10. Haha, thats awesome. You want him to succeed, by telling people to stay away. Only on VC. Anywho, there's always paypal claim if this fool wants play hookie. -------------- Back to business tho, does anyone have the new Cranes MOV reissue? Thoughts? I got the Swervedriver and it has some serious pops , the first track is unlistenable. Waiting to bear back from seller.
  11. How many are they pressing vs pressing plant price. That affects costs. Its easy to assume. Also, what is the profit margin vs sales? Im just saying this because this release is only 300 copies. When you press 1000 and you know people are going to buy them, you can afford to charge $20. You can argue averages all day. But what you are implying is that these guys are trying to make money here based of what you believe you know, is causing it to be $10 more than the norm. The fact is you dont REALLY knowing all the facts. I don't know for sure, so I don't assume. I'll leave it at that.
  12. Sorry, I apologize for the joke, ill take that down. This why I lurk. ***Walks away.
  13. Can you show me the numbers on that? Number of copies and pressing plant cost. Again, you guys are right, but how certain can you be of whats driving the cost behind the prices?
  14. Look man, dont hate the player, hate the game, you guys are smart record buyers. I threw Newbury in there as an example of what is setting the bar. Italians do it better, have been in business for a long time and have a cult following at this point, which was my point about Deathwish and Topshelf. I'm not saying any of you are wrong.
  15. I agree with you. All your points are valid, and make sense. That being said...Club AC30, Sonic Cathedral, Newbury (ones I could think of), while goes against your point of X and Y, are selling records for well above that range, in terms of 2LP sets. And thats taking into accounts that they are buying 1000 of these and not just 300, which should make the price go down, not up. I believe if Topshelf and Deathwish, started their label this week, their LPs would be $36 PPD. They are self run, but have been in the business for a very long time. How much do the so-called "Deluxe" 2LP editions for all the latest Relapse sell for? I paid $40 for my True Widow, and all that had was a turntable mat. I have to go by what the standard is, because, what other way are you going to set the bar on prices? Yes, if you think in an economics way, yes, makes complete sense. I tried to start a diy awhile back, and unless you do Pirate Press, its just too much money to press vinyl, especially in small runs.
