I still need to go through everything and check the colors. I know I have the two covers but I'm not sure if I went all out and got every color or not. And there's nothing sad about buying it for listening purposes. That's what they are for. Hence why I'm thinking about selling them. I mean the colors are cool but do I really need 6 copies of goddamnit? Maybe.

um i have one copy of each i listen to, the others were because i have a bad habit of collecting things. i bought a bunch of colors, and as my collection has grown i really do not want to store them as i have run out of room for records as it is.

I have a bunch of the different colors of alkaline trio goddamnit, The screen printed lawrence arms stuff that came out on asian man last year, ten foot pole rev, and some other odds and ends duplicates. I was curious if anyone knew if any of this sells for substantial amounts of money. I tried to look through ebay, but all i could find were the trio stuff. The lawrence arms were all those buy it now sellers asking ridiculous amounts, and I cant find anything on the ten foot pole record. As much as I do like hording records, they take up a lot of space, and it just doesnt seem practical to hold on to them hoping they gain value, if they are not going to or if they are already valuable, and i just have no clue. thanks for any suggestions or insight.

im thinking about going to see afterproject, though i am still not sure i beleive they are playing. i used to play with em all the time. great band.

i do like that shelving unit for the fact it would help keep dust out better than the open one, more money than i planned, but could be a better investment overall. im not trying to go as cheap as milk crates just for the simple fact that at some point i want to look like I somewhat care what my place looks like to an extent. thanks for the replies.

so I have a road case I had been putting my records in, but i never planned on buying so many records so fast. needless to say i need more storage, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions to good places to buy some sort of shelving unit or even another road case? I only know of finding them on ebay or like guitar centers website and I am trying to save as much money as I can here. please let me know if you have any ideas. thanks

Am I the only one who thinks sometimes it is just more fun to wait and build the suspense till the release. I will admit I'm worried they will wait months before announcing a vi yl version though I'd also like to point out to those who say why does thrice deserve better than being stole. I would say not only do they try and deliver an actual well made album but they also donate to charity and the majority of downloaders will not purchase it.

kind of off topic has any one ever shipped records fed ex ground. I ship a lot through them because I get a minor discount, but i think it would be cheaper than 10 dollars, and you get free insurance up to 100. I have issues paying for usps insurance just because they are to lazy to do their jobs properly.

I'm curious to go check out the store dreamover recommended as well. i would say as a whole my records don't sound bad, minus a few, but i think that is more companies trying to save money by using cheaper means of pressing them.. Im looking at you victory records on my thursday record with lots of background noise. I buy most of my records new and as I know i should still clean them it is better than the ones at used stores that have a layer of dust.

i have the debut III with the Ortofon OM 5E cartridge on there I believe. The guy at needle doctor which is where i got the turntable recommended the ortofon 20 stylus. Anyone have any insight into knowing when a needle change is needed?

So not to long ago I was about to buy a new phono cartridge, but it never panned out because i was told you need to know how to align them. So my first question is how hard is it to align them, and do you really need to buy separate tools to do so. also on a somewhat different note, how do you know when a new needle is needed. I saw an article saying that if you wait till its warn out you have most likely already damaged your records, so now I have become rather paranoid. I appreciate any help. I am good with modern technology, but I seem to be having a hard time grasping how my turntable works.

I appreciate the responses. I more or less wanted to make sure i was not getting bad copies. And the color question came due to a little while back I remember vinyl collective saying one of their presses on green did not sound as good as it should which made me wonder about other colors. And all my best sounding records tend to be my black ones. For instance NWA for one reason or another sounds fantastic, though i rarely listen to it.

I have had a couple things bothering me for a bit now so i figured I would jump on here and see if anyone could filed the questions for me. First I have noticed when I play some of my records for example the Lawrence arms Cocatails and Dreams when the needle gets to the inner tracks, they begin to sound very scratchy. Is this a bad record, a needle issue or pretty common? I have a number of records I have noticed this on. Second do black records sound any better than the colored variants? It seems the black ones tend to feel thicker and I was curious if by getting the one that looks best if I may be sacrificing sound. thanks chad.
