  1. eh, it is what it is beats the alternative after they sell out It's a little pricey but I know they ship fast and securely, I've never had an issue with Fat. And the NOFX is a double LP (which is part of the increased cost). Plus, at least when I pay $17 for a Fat LP I know they'll be cover art.
  2. I think they did it this way to throw people off. when the times were announced the site was swarming with people just looking to buy a copy to flip. This time it seems way different. I even knew it was going up Thursday but I assumed 11am like most people probably thought. I was just lucky enough to check when I woke up.
  3. Since Wolves was 1,000+ colored and this is only 500, it should go a lot quicker. Also, it should help that most folks (for some unexplained reason) are banking on the LP to have the full "Decline" on it.
  4. Relax homeboy. It's just some fans doing something to make a record look nice. I doubt anyone here would attempt to flip it as an "exclusive cover". However it totally makes sense that kids are PO'ed. People ordered this record back in August for $17 and were promised, new artwork, and a limited hand numbered copy. It took 3 months to arrive and when it did the "new artwork" was a DJ sleeve with a sticker and the, number was a sharpie that is nearly altogether wasted as they had more copies than they thought and are talking about sending 200 to Virgil and giving more away. $17 for a regular old black record in a DJ sleeve, when you were promised something else, is kind of a rip off.
  5. Maybe it only works in the frozen tundra of Canada. Ben, do you have a hypercolor avatar?
  6. I'm game. Totally shit tastic that they bitched out on covers. Let me know how they come along.
  7. I've produced videos for Prince. What Videos? Ones you've never seen. Oh, what songs? Songs you've never heard.
  8. Good Friends Records http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=217616693 I think you just message them and let them know and they tell you where to paypal the money. Hope that helps.
  9. Holy god. I forgot, I got Unicornography from Kyle. Shit was wrapped tight and even had a note about Russian porn on the outside. Fast and safe. Totally lame for forgetting this.
  10. I heard (mind you this is like totally speculation) there may be a move from Lookout. It wouldn't be too surprising. Anyhow, I finally picked up Jagged Thoughts, not my favorite, but I'm a completest. Still looking for those 7".
  11. If Steven Segal is such a bad actor how come his movies are on TBS and Spike nearly every weekend?
  12. This may be the single greatest innovation in the last 300 years. Is there actually a flavor called "Asian Experience"?! There's a Norm McDonald joke to be made there. Oh Yeah, Chuck Norris made an energy drink once but it was too powerful to be contained by any human material...the result was Chernobyl.
  13. Ill get you a copy to make up for the debt IOU haha...Not likely. I shall have your immortal soul Aaron Danger. But are you seriously going?...I can give pretty mean back rub, think about that.
  14. Sorry, I know it sold out of one, and the others are still selling (not by boatloads but still moving). Like I said I'm not saying the band is making millions (or making money) I just find it strange that some people eBay their stuff for so much money.
  15. Oh right, how can I forget a chance to continue my plea that someone pick me up a copy of the 10" at the record release show? C'mon...help a poor, hairy, Italian out.
  16. Just got a copy of the Look Mexico LP on swirl and a test pressing. second to last purchase till Christmas.
  17. I always felt paradoxically about hardcore BTMI! collectors. I buy a lot of the stuff because I support the music and the idea but at the same time kids shelling out $100 for the record release cover of Goodbye Cruel World seems odd when a band is actively supporting a community of giving and sharing. For that matter why make so many pressings of albums in such small numbers? I mean it makes sense for the first release to gauge sales but I know Get Warmer has sold out of nearly three vinyl pressing, I think that could justify larger pressings... Sorry, I sound like I'm angry about the whole deal and I'm not, I just think it's strange that a dude who actively gives away his music has records that kids eBay for that kind of money (and I know for a fact Jeff hates when that happens).
  18. Since I figured I ordered in early October, that puts me in the mid-hundreds (300-500). I'm guessing I'll get my copy by the end of December.
  19. Is That Hold Steady LP really going OOP? I thought I had heard it was already gone...but apparently not.
  20. I'm holding ya to that. And lord help you if you don't make it. I'm not sure what I'll do, but chances are it will involve the butt.
  21. I really wish both these bands could make it out to the west coast more often. It was amazing seeing them both at The Fest but I would like to do it without a plane ticket. Stoked for the 10".
  22. So that's four people from VC with this record. We should keep tabs to see how many go, but that's just because I heard Deja Entendu was limited to 20 copies too.
  23. I just picked one up. Figure it's a neat little item. See if it's truly 1/20.
  24. It seems more and more like black (or plain colors) are become the limited edition runs. Gaslight Anthem only did 100, the new Re-Volts only did 50 for pre-orders. I really enjoy colored vinyl but weight is a big factor. And I can't tell but are the new Victory releases on 180 gram? I really haven't held it against anything but they certainly feel thicker.
