i found a live audio perfomance of a show at gilman street and it was quite disapointing. But none the less like everyone was saying wish he would take more time getting his shit together and sticking it out.

I was at the Gilman show. It was as awkward as a "no reason" boner.

I'm going to quit reading about it because I'm sure all the hype will ruin it. I never like movies when someone calls it, "The best film in years". Just automatically makes me dislike it.

Thorns of Life were so awful I don't really care. I highly doubt this will have much staying power either.

Really, really dug this movie. Sorry, it totally makes sense that 1.8 million aliens would be oppressed by an estimated 44 million South Africans. It happens all the time. Even with superior weaponry, you put a disorganized mass against a well organized military unit and they'll lose. It's the same reason that in every dictatorship or aristocracy a select few rule over the masses. There's a lot of examples in history and explanations in the movie but that's all there.

I thought the voodoo thing was well done too. It happens all over the world where people eat shit off of rare or endangered animals because it gives them a boner (or is supposed to), I can absolutely see a guy eat an alien arm because they figure it would give them power. Additionally, it highlights that while people viewed the aliens as stupid and backwards, many of their same people were doing things that were more ignorant and backwards. Really smart, really well done.

Wow...That top 20 blows ass. "Get ur freak on" is an absolutely horrific song that has no replay value. As much as I enjoy Gnarls Barkley "Crazy" is overly simplistic melodically and really disjointed lyrically. I dislike MIA in general, so that DQs me from commenting on that. R. Kelly? Seriously, R. Kelly?! Pitchfork has such an ironic boner for that guy it makes me ill.

I'm not even going to comment on the "pretentious" bit but seriously, the pop music they look to elevate is horrific.

Yeah. I got insanely lucky because the dude from clearview sent me the test free of charge. I really thought about going after all the variants (because I got so lucky with the test) but after the first one went for $200 or so I decided to skip that.

i hate people that do shit like that. paying for small amounts with huge bills, or paying completely with change especially when they throw pennies in. one guy's total was $3, and he handed me a 100 dollar bill. i look at him and say seriously? his "reason" was he didn't have anything smaller, even though the way he dug through his wallet to get the cash i could see that he had a few 5's, 10's and 20's.

I used to work at a parking garage that only took cash or check. I had a complete douche pull up with his girlfriend (maybe wife/hooker/mistress) and he asks to pay with a card. I say we don't accept credit cards. He responds with, "well all I have is this one hundred dollar bill" and holds up the bill. Mind you he didn't take it out of a wallet or anything, he had the billed prepared and ready to go.

I wanted to be like, "I'm not 10 and your not my grandmother. I've seen a $100 bill before". And seriously where do you even get that shit unless you go to the bank and ask for it?
