  1. are you talking about the 20% off code for the NIN.com store? that was for the people who preordered everything back in the day as an apology for making them wait 8+ months to receive their records
  2. I'm enjoying it thus far. As for being their best OST work yet, I'd like to give some love for Atticus's work on The Defiant Ones (please put this on vinyl!) and Almost Holy. In any case, 2016 and 2017 have been great years for NIN-related releases
  3. If anyone is feeling risky, Best Buy appears to have the vinyl edition of The Vietnam War OST for $13.99 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/the-vietnam-war-a-film-by-ken-burns-lynn-novick-original-score-lp-vinyl/6088008.p?skuId=6088008 It has the same UPC (602557769982) as what I've seen elsewhere, so maybe...?
  4. got my 20% discount to work in the NIN.com store (I added the "add violence physical copy" to my cart, went the checkout page, it showed the discount, and then I removed "add violence"), and I ordered it there. the convenience of having the digital copy now was worth the potential headache that is Sandbag... (or so I say now)
  5. I feel like this is the important question. The NIN reissues came with download cards (at least my Broken did -- I haven't had a chance to open the others yet), but I don't think the Before the Flood soundtrack did.
  6. listened to the first ~half of this album, and it's a weird listen. I mean, I love "You're a Woman..." and "The Physical World", and this seems completely different.
  7. not to be that guy, but couldn't you (carefully) glue them yourself? double-sided tape? did something get damaged as a result of you not knowing they weren't glued?
  8. Good news / Bad news for me. Good news: My package is no longer in "pre-shipment" (it had been since 8/15) Bad news: Instead of being in Folcroft, PA (where I conceivably could have picked it up myself tomorrow), the package is suddenly in Jersey City, which means my package will likely arrive in Philadelphia a day or two after I leave for a 2+ week trip to Europe... In any case, I look forward to listening to these records in mid-September, assuming they survive sitting at the post office while I'm gone
  9. I think it would be easier to just wait until someone has said "Received my replacement jacket!" rather than bump the thread three days after other people complained about not yet receiving their replacement jackets. Someone will surely post pictures of their new pristine jacket or their jacket covered in piss stains from the Sandbag customer service reps (which were likely deserved, based on the last dozen or so pages of this thread).
  10. Debated posting this in the OST thread, but this thread seemed ~more appropriate. The soundtrack for HBO's The Defiant Ones (by Atticus, Leopold, and Claudia) has been posted on Amazon (for download; not a physical release). Does anyone know if all of these songs are new? I know we heard a handful of NIN/Atticus songs in the background, but I don't recognize any of the song titles (or the 30 second previews on Amazon).
  11. for what it's worth, amazon.uk seems to have it available. after VAT is removed and after the GBP->USD exchange rate, it comes out to around the same price as amazon.com I'm holding onto my amazon.com pre-order for the time being, if only because it comes with the download from amazon, but I may lose patience...
  12. for what it's worth, my Before the Flood order was packed quite well (and that was delivered before this whole Firebrand/SandBag situation came about). my guess at the moment is that TF:D1 was simply "too big" to fit in a standard mailer with extra padding and they didn't think it was necessary/worthwhile to use big mailers. in any case, it'll be interesting to see what they do when they're shipping boxes with 7 LPs + a 7" at the beginning of August...
  13. No offense, but I'm not sure if Alcest and Unwound are of the same caliber as NIN. (And by that I mean "I've never heard of Alcest or Unwound, so I literally don't know if they are of the same caliber as NIN, but I'm doubting it.") I feel like that was a major part of youspinmeround's comment. In any case, I usually expect ~$15/LP. $80 for 4 LPs is a bit higher than I'd expect, but not all that bad. In fact, I'm more inclined to complain about $20 for NTAE than paying $80 for this, if only because I'm still not really digging NTAE... I think the main point here is that if I like the music, I'm fine ~overpaying for it.
  14. Regular: https://smile.amazon.com/Black-Mirror-Junipero-Original-Score/dp/B071ZHJFPQ/ref=tmm_vnl_title_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr= Picture: https://smile.amazon.com/Black-Mirror-Junipero-Original-Score/dp/B07121BKTH/ref=tmm_vnl_title_1?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr= (I could be wrong, but I'm basing that on the prices; i.e., more expensive = picture disc)
  15. not gonna lie, I didn't start to think the game was out of reach until cleveland went back up by 19 early in the 4th. I'm disappointed in GSW for not getting the 4-4-4-4
