  2. i could also stand to get rid of my chuck ragan 7" blue print sessions set. i don't know what the best way to ship it would be, so we can talk about that. just looking to make back what i purchased it for -- $90 OBO
  3. hey friends. parking ticket issues and i'm traveling abroad next week. would like to get affairs straightened away before then. free shipping only applies to US. the loved ones - keep your heart (grey, out of 230) -- $35 incl. shipping/delivery confirmation the lawrence arms - oh calcutta (marble blue, out of 240) -- $120 OBO, make me a ppd offer lemuria/kind of like spiting split - your living room's all over me (on black) -- $40 including shipping/delivery confirmation. i also have a 160gb ipod for sale. i've had it for five years and i'm not gonna lie, it's got scratches. many of them. the headphone jack is a little loose. aside from that, everything works just fine. you will simply have to restore the ipod operating system (as in, switch it from windows to mac). can supply pictures if necessary. make me an offer! please email me @ james [dot] hull89 [at] gmail [dot] com with offers. these prices are not firm. um what else...if you are in the chicagoland area, let's meet up so i don't have to mail stuff to you. thaaaaanks for reading, folks!
  4. hey friends. a few buddies of mine just put out their record for free/name your price on band camp. sounds like weezer if a pinkerton-era rivers was subjected to late night restaurant shifts in chicago winters while listening to slowcore and eating indian food. http://tpaty.bandcamp.com/ chicago pvnx, members also in dowsing, swingin' party and significant you they were reviewed on punknews to the tune of 3.5/5: http://www.punknews....s-at-your-merci
  5. how long until someone finds a way to be superior to both christians and atheists
  6. this makes me uncomfortable because i was not aware how gelatinous crustaceans appear before growing a shell
  7. if you show up and are willing to negotiate they'll be far more willing to lessen your fees. bummer about the tickets, man.
  8. the gingerman, simon's, the sovereign, hopleaf, the l&l, delilah's is fun sometimes, rosa's, hungry brain, empty bottle is fun too i only really go to simon's during the week cause it's a 10 minute walk from my apartment
  9. Really? I'm glad no one I know dresses like that. at the risk of sounding a bit "bougie" i've only seen it pulled off well in NYC, LA, chicago and philly. only seen it once when i was in new brunswick nj and it was not appealing on the person.
  10. also, anyone know a good light summer jacket? i can't find one for the life of me.
  11. that's been the style for women for a couple years now
  12. this is pretty funny. but i'm still here, posting infrequently. just couldn't stay away...
  13. me too, after listening to three songs.
  14. that's a great idea honestly. safe, peace of mind. if you're gonna be travelling at all (which i imagine you will be) it's worth getting a cta pass. one-way rides are like $2.25 now. this adds up very quickly. if you go down to the museum of science and industry i recommend going to the oriental institute also. it's free, and has loads of cool stuff. walking around u of c's campus is really fun in it's own right too.
  15. i should note that you (probably) won't be able to find non-permit, non-metered parking unless you park north of irving park, west of ashland (probably), and south of probably roosevelt.
  16. it should be easy to find non-permit, non-metered parking in a lot of the city. streets are pretty well marked too.
  17. i'll take the wunder years. didn't even know that existed!! will even pay ten ppd for it.
  18. there is a pretty sweet show happening on march 6th, too: https://www.facebook.com/events/150351528416142/
  19. when are you gonna be here? the art institute of chicago is right by millenium park, so you'll have to hit that up. the modern wing is sweet. the national museum of mexican art is also awesome, and way way way underlooked in the scheme of attractions in the city (http://www.nationalmuseumofmexicanart.org/). easily accessible via the l. you should check out the chicago cultural center right now, you'll be able to walk to it from your hotel. it's free, and right now there is an exhibition called morbid curiosity that shows iconography of death across the cultures of six thousand years. it's pretty damn sweet, and for free, you can't really go wrong. the depaul university art museum is brand new, right off the fullerton l stop, and has been getting a lot of attention recently from lots of publications (and i gotta rep it since i go to school at depaul/work with the museum). reckless is a necessity, though you're probably better off going to the one up on broadway rather than downtown. you're gonna be near printer's row, where there are a bunch of cool used books stores. some veg places i recommend (even though i'm not veg): dragon lady lounge, at belmont and california karen's, up on halsted in lincoln park any number of indian places on devon non-veg: pequod's pizza can't be beat hamburger mary's, in my opinion, is way better than kuma's and they brew their own beer i'll add more when i think of some, i'm in a medicine haze right now
  20. ---- diagnosed with pneumonia today ---- had a sinus infection this weekend -----been bedridden for days +++ quitting smoking! (like i have a choice) ++ everything else is alright. feel bad for me?
