  1. It is an all round beautiful 7 inch. One thing - anyone know the song titles?
  2. That made me laugh more than the first time I heard the song.
  3. I've seen this has popped up on emusic today. Any ideas when the vinyl will be ready?
  4. I was surprisingly entertained. Robert Downey Jr & Jude Laws' partnership definitely makes the film. Looking forward to a sequel.
  5. 1 Drag The River 1,140 2 Richmond Fontaine 1,126 3 Bruce Springsteen 1,086 4 Propagandhi 549 5 Portugal. The Man 500 6 Chris Isaak 490 7 Coalesce 402 8 Chad Price 379 9 Austin Lucas 362 10 Kelly Clarkson 317
  6. Descendents Minor Threat Black Flag Dead Kennedys Phuture Pet Shop Boys
  7. Don't forget: 88% of all statistics can be made to say whatever you want... I am kidding around (sorta), but I always question statistics because, as someone who has a bit of a math background, I can never be sure how those numbers were developed, by whom, and with what motivation. Either way, Swain's First Bike Ride ftw! I''m similarly sceptical about any headline statistics and have a bit of a maths background. The RAIN website itself was a bit poor with justification for its stats. A lot of the stats seemed to be pulled from http://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles/172837.pdf report. The survey methodology section at the end of this report was pretty persuasive - gives you the questions asked, the statistical significance of the results, who they asked and how they decided, sample sizes of 8000 and 8005.
  8. So Cowell could claim responsibility for the top 3 - X-Factor winner's single X-Factor winner's signature performance song anti X-factor single. You got to respect the power.
  9. I'm hard pressed to decide between Austin Lucas and Chad Price for number one, with The Takers, Yesterdays Ring, Jon Snodgrass, Drag The River and Mike Hale not far behind.
  10. My personal all time faves in no particular order: Jawbreaker All/Descendents Autechre Chris Isaak Take That I haven't included any bands I've only been listening to for less than 5 years. For me, my all time favourites need to stand a test of time, when I was a young 'un they changed every week. All these acts I've been listening to for at least a decade, but there's a couple of bands from the last three or four years that may soon be challenging for a place. (Drag The River, Richmond Fontaine & Bruce Springsteen)
  11. This rules. It's always a nice surprise when an email from Ralph appears in my inbox. And that list for next year is damned exciting.
