Paterra of ZOMBI). Described by Paterra as his coldest and darkest work yet, the eight tracks deliver very personal, minimal, and intimate ambient music, a mix between kraut rock and new age music with infinite layers of synthesizers in the vein of TANGERINE DREAM or STEVE REICH. Unlike his ZOMBI partner STEVE MOORE, who is very influenced by synthesizer based music of the 70's and 80's for his solo works, Majeure's music reminds us of the cold digital aesthetics of the late 90's and 2000's - like a forgotten David Lynch soundtrack. The album's artwork was beautifully handled by Maarko Phntm, and will see both CD and vinyl formats upon release. The 2xLP vinyl is limited to 700 copies, 300 dark purple and 400 black.

The result is not a new YEAR OF NO LIGHT album but a long new track (72 minutes) with YEAR OF NO LIGHT classic heavy riffs mixed with more experimental and drone tunes that can remind us their collaborative records with NADJA or THISQUIETARMY. The record is a double vinyl including a CD version of the long track to listen to it in an one-time session. With multiple influences and various members side-projects (LES FRAGMENT DE LA NUIT, DO YOU COMPUTE, BRUME RETINA, TO THE HAPPY FEW, etc.), the REVOK music is indefinable but epitomized by a strong darkness and a brutal result.
