  1. Try browsing this thread: http://forum.vinylmeplease.com/index.php?threads/fixing-a-milty-zerostat-3.3465/ It looks like others have repaired their Zerostat and/or have offered to fix others' Zerostats.
  2. Forgive me if I misunderstand you but you should never try to make the trigger click. You're supposed to press and release slowly- the click is actually a sign that you've released/pressed too fast and need to go slower. Sorry that yours got busted. And sorry if you already know this and were just commenting on how weird it is for it to not click at all. Good luck!
  3. The best mailers I've used are the Pratt mailers that Amazon uses which have the overhang on the sides. They run around $1+ each though and I would still recommend using 1-2 cardboard squares for full protection. It's worth it, IMO, if you are going to be selling a lot of records and want to avoid returns/refunds on damaged records. The super cheap mailers on Amazon/eBay are OK but you will get the occasional corner ding/bend when using them.
  4. I believe you can use tap water and mild soap to remove the gunk. I just use water and it cleans it enough to start working well again.
  5. Ships around 3/3 according to Joyful Noise's website: https://www.joyfulnoiserecordings.com/products/to-all-the-broads-ive-nailed-before
  6. We all remember the day we sold a stranger our 4th copy of a record at cost only for them to flip it themselves hours later. We remember it because it was the last day we trusted another person. Never again.
  7. I was one of the lucky winners of the Black Numbers instagram contest! Here is what showed up at my door yesterday. That Pass Away LP is such a fun sing-along punk record- stoked to add it to my collection. I’m hoping to spin the In the Pines and Hot Knife 7”s later tonight! Thanks for the sweet prize pack, Dave!
  8. I think it was really hard to find about 1-2 years ago. I remember I could only find 1 copy online from an international store (which is where I bought it for like $25-30) but, for some reason, they’ve been popping up here and there in the last year. BTW, I’m posting here more because I'm obsessed with Why? and less because I wanted to comment on your specific listing or dissuade buyers. I think your price is fair, whether it’s harder to find or more easily available. It’s an awesome record.
  9. I believe it is out of print technically but I see it new at record shops here and there and it's available on most online marketplaces. Your asking price is fair/around the same ballpark as elsewhere from what I remember.
  10. I was able to hear an early download last month and I think it's excellent. It’s more sincere than anything Yoni has done before as Why? and, in my opinion, it’s his best work as a composer/songwriter. The clever wordplay and funny references are mostly gone and the pace is much slower but it does an incredible job of building tension, crafting a cohesive theme and mood, and bursting the tension at the right time. Some moments feel cinematic, like the score from an indie dramedy movie or show. I was a bit confused for the first 2-3 listens but then it clicked once I understood that this isn’t a witty Why? album with quirky beats/percussion. It’s a solid piece of sincere music.
  11. I really liked those Bob's Buskers videos when they were posted online but this set isn't quite a fit for me. Poking my head in though to say that if you can afford this and want to buy it, please do it and enjoy it. My natural state is 'snarky and judgmental' so I get the instinct to want to harp on other people who buy collectables that you don't quite understand or enjoy but, in the end, it's a mis-use of energy and doesn't reflect well on one's self to indulge that instinct. IMO, not giving in to your own penchant for negativity and choosing to be better than that is what makes someone an adult.
  12. Hey, VC! I'm selling an extra copy of February's Joyful Noise VIP mystery single featuring two new/unreleased tracks from Denmark's Sleep Party People (The Missing Steps & an instrumental b-side). The 7" is unplayed/new but, in my experience, most Joyful Noise singles are about VG+ out of the box. $12 shipped! PM me to arrange PayPal payment. Thanks.
  13. I used the discount to buy some boxing gloves, hand wraps, and this for my cat: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D3NI4EU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  14. It would be super exciting/dramatic if this was part of some elaborate swindle on behalf of the buyer and every potential decision you make could swing the outcome drastically...but, in reality, it's pretty simple. Just approve the return, accept the package back, and move on. PayPal lets customers file a return request for something like 180 days, so, although it is kind of dumb/annoying, you could receive a valid return request 5.9 months after the customer receives the record. In the super rare event that something insane happens, like they send you an old Adidas sneaker instead of your record, just pick up the phone and call PayPal and describe the buffoonery that has taken place. When really weird stuff happens, it might take 3-10 phone calls before you reach someone who speaks your language and understands your situation fully but they offer unlimited appeals, so just keep calling even if they initially are unhelpful or decide against you in the case. What I've seen often which is really unhelpful is that people will have the case closed against them and immediately give up and spend the rest of their life complaining about PayPal online...but all they needed to do was spend 1/4th of that energy in calling PayPal until they correctly adjust the decision. I hope that helps!
  15. ^ No sweat! At the end of the day, I'm good with any color/variant of a new Cayetana LP.
  16. What a dummy. I saw TE retweeting their pre-order and made a connection in my brain that they were still releasing through them. I gotta manually order this one then. Thanks for the heads up.
  17. This is why I'm glad I'm a Tiny Engines yearly subscriber. It's nice to not have to scramble for my credit card as fast as I can every time a TE pre-order goes up.
  18. I tracked down all of his earlier LPs about two years, right as they disappeared. I ended up having to pay $35-45 for some of them but it was worth it. Everything Shake and before is A+.
  19. Let us know how this works for you. I didn't realize ultrasonic cleaners were available in the sub-$700 range and I'm curious if they are worth the investment. Thanks!
  20. My folks met at 16 and didn't get a much needed divorce until they were in their late 40s, so I'm a bit biased toward viewing high school sweetheart relationships through a negative lens. I think if you can both acknowledge the dumb stuff and forgive each other and yourselves, a deep past can be a really remarkable and positive part of your relationship.
  21. That is what's great about meeting people later in your 20s or in your 30s: you can present the current best version of yourself without the baggage of all the dumb things you did when you were a 21 year old idiot. In that specific way, I feel for some couples who meet at 19, go through a ton of malicious/embarrassing/traumatic stuff, stick together long-term, and then have that baggage and resentment for each other on their backs into their 30s and beyond.
