Dealing with buyers is a little like doing Jedi mind tricks sometimes. I’ve had to over apologize and be over sympathetic to walk some people off the ledge and back into a rational place where they’d accept a more realistic resolution. But some people are hellbent in doing things the hard way. I usually detach and cut off communication once they go full crazy or let me know they won’t accept anything but their unrealistic resolution. At that point, I let PayPal handle them and I just calmly provide my side of the situation to the claim and I’ve been lucky to never lose. Calling PayPal and speaking to someone is really helpful and better than simply writing a message via email or the resolution center. Sorry you had to deal with that buyer.

Bringing back my account and this thread from the grave as my not-big-at-all podcast just got featured as one of Vulture’s favorite comedy podcasts for June, alongside Tim Heidecker’s podcast and Tom Scharplings’ podcast and other more known shows.

If 3 fictional weirdos reviewing compact discs they checked out at the public library sounds like an interesting premise, check us out now that we are approved by cool indie publications. We also have an expanded Spotify music edition of the podcast with full songs spliced in for Spotify Premium members who listen to us on there. I hope someone digs it!

(All kidding aside, this is how I sometimes think about it when I buy expensive merchandise at shows. Supporting a band you like while they're on tour and you get a little physical gift as a thanks.)

I love iam8bit. Every time I’m about to impulse buy one of their novelty releases, the price and/or lack of actual content on the releases kindly assuages me of said impulse purchase.

One good thing is, when someone buys a $250 record from me at 3am and then messages me at 10am to say their child stole their credit card, I can refund them from my pending payout with no charge. PayPal used to keep their transaction fee so I’d lose money each time I refunded someone who immediately canceled their “accidental” order.

I have a few opaque black vinyl records and they all look and sound great. It doesn’t say in the listing but I’m hoping the LP comes in a physical jacket. Those are rad.

Haven’t heard this one in full yet but OK Human ended up being like a McDonalds quarter pounder with the meat replaced by an artisan veggie patty. Why would you do that?
