Even if it wasn't all of them, that first batch went extremely fast.

CONVERGE - All We Love We Leave Behind
monstercody replied to jhulud's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Juan, no Sunn O))) in the collection? For shame! -
You young fucking assholes make me feel so fucking old. Wait, I am. When I was 13 it was 1983. Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Dio, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Def Leppard and Motley Crue. All on original cassettes before it was retro ironic hip to like tapes. I couldn't imagine growing up now.

Revelation 25 - Chicago 7"s

Dude is going to feel like a chump when these show on REVHq tomorrow night for $20. -
It's been years since I played my original picture disc. This looks like a win/win. A better sounding, newer, play copy and I can keep the picture disc filed away. I'm in.

R.I.P Hydrahead Records

I'm not going to complain about postage, pricing, web stores or business practices. All that bullshit is forgotten in time. I'm way too bummed out that a label I literally grew old with is going away. Time to pull out all six of my "In These Black Days" 7"s and get busy. -
Here are my 7"s. All original Plan 9 pressings. Took forever, cost a fortune! Original Beware 12" too. I have more pictures and what not on my blog. Check the signature for a link.

Champion - Promises Kept & Time Slips Away
monstercody replied to monstercody's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I ended up ordering every gawd damn thing. Plus a Rohnert Park because I already have five of them. I'm not going to lie, I love that the only people replying to this thread have x's in their names. THE STRAIGHT EDGE. -
PO: ENDPOINT - In A Time Of Hate LP Reissue

Make it four (or is it five?) Endpoint fans on here. Looking at those pictures of fucked up corners does not make me feel optimistic about mine. I can't imagine what Canada Post will do to it. -

Oh yeah, 4th pressing of Ceremony - Rohnert Park and 5th pressing of Defeater - Empty Days & Sleepless Nights are up too. Expensive day. -
I appreciate the write up - I follow VN religiously. To clarify - I will not take a penny above $15. The remaining money will go to Save the Chimps in Florida. Further, I have an insane 64 watchers already. As the write up indicates, if this hits $50 100% goes to STC including my initial $15 purchase. Now, I doubt it will hit $100. BUT if it does I will put in another $50 and sponsor a chimp for a year in the name of Bridge 9, Vinyl Collective and Vinyl Noize at the sum of $150. Finally, I will post the paperwork here as this is no spoof. I love that organization and will put this prank to good use in the end. Thanks again. I edited my post on VN to reflect this. Sorry I missed it the first time around. It was hard to try to condense this saga down to a few paragraphs. I hope the exposure helps!

I threw my two cents in for a post I just wrote up for Vinyl Noize. http://www.vinylnoize.com/2012/04/08/office-supplies-sunday-have-heart-april-fools-day-prank/ I have a sense that all bad feelings will go away once we see how much these will go for.

In the end this thread is nothing more than two camps fighting over the unnecessary middleman. The only argument so far against buying directly from the label is shipping costs. I totally understand, especially for people on a tight budget. Shipping can be as expensive as the record itself. I live in Canada so high priced shipping has been a fact of life for record collecting since day 1, so it becomes a moot point. Like I said before, maybe it's a hardcore thing but I would rather spend a little more and give it directly to Deathwish, Bridge Nine, Youngblood, React, BBB, Six Feet Under, Painkiller and the rest of the labels I support and make multiple orders doing it. Plus, how else am I going to get the rare color shit to blog about? Have a good one everyone.
