  1. I'll go with my usual: a box of candy and a dildo. That way if she doesn't like the candy she can go fuck herself. Ba dump bum
  2. The one thing I really like about "Hidden Hands..." was that it was EXACTLY as long as my lunchtime bike ride when I lived in Alabama. No matter what the weather or how I felt, etc. I always seemed to but within a block of home when the record was over. I found it uncanny and a lot of fun, like I could stop and take a shit in the woods and I'd still make it back in the same amount of time. I never tried, but ...
  3. I'm sorry, I should have said the next issue of AP. The one that's coming out shortly. That one.
  4. Yeah, I'm not dying to get rid of it, but I would if someone was a crazy Silverstein fan and wanted it. I like them but ...
  5. I swear it's almost like I'm reliving my 20s with all these reunions. Everybody's just fatter and balder.
  6. Thanks. I feel ok today. I have a pretty good life actually.
  7. I ordered black. I haven't got it yet. Should I worry?
  8. Anybody know if this is getting pressed? I'll be very disappointed if it's not. After years of waiting for "Hidden Hands" to get pressed to complete the collection having another record NOT pressed would be annoying as shit.
  9. I guess the wooden boxes are sold out? I couldn't find them on the site.
  10. http://www.goodbadmusic.com/ Apparently you can download ripped vinyl here. I don't know, looked interesting.
  11. Did anyone see that story on the CNN site this morning about Afghani woman giving their four year olds opium? Apparently they do it to quiet the children down so they can work easier. I'm sure it works. Fuck.
  12. Do you want another test press of "Discovering the Waterfront?"
  13. The last of my three dogs that my wife and I have had since 1997 died the other day. I'm really sad and depressed, and I'm feeling a familiar feeling of wanting to get high to make myself feel better. So I felt like it was a good time to say, if you are a young person please do yourself a favor and stay away from hard drugs, even pain killers and things you might consider weak. I know you probably hear this a lot from parents and teachers and shit like that, but I consider you people sort of friends, so please take my advice. The saddest thing is that after only a short while using most drugs your receptors get burned out and you are no longer capable of getting high. You're just using to feel normal, and in a lot of cases you never do. I've never met anyone who's life turned out better because of drugs. I'm not a crusader and I'm a firm believer in doing what you feel is best for you. Just wanted to give you a piece of advice.
  14. That's so weird: this is the first time I realized that wasn't pressed on vinyl. I think I have everything they ever put out, but not that obviously. I had to check my record list to make sure you weren't mistaken. And what's even more odd is that I don't have that record at all. I mean to say I've never heard it because I only buy vinyl. I'm stoked because it means I get to hear something I'll most likely love that I've never heard before.
  15. I find it amazing what albums are worth money or whatever. Fuck I must have a million dollars worth of records.
  16. I'd really like the second Porno For Pyros album on vinyl, as well as the Dismemberment Plan's "Change." Oh, and the main one I've longed for forever: Tad's "Infrared Riding Hood." I'd pay for it to get pressed myself I think.
  17. Come on. We're all getting older. If you went to Warped Tour five years ago and haven't been since you probably won't like the bands this year and you shouldn't. They are the bands kids like NOW. Keep an open mind though. Remember, the kids -- not washed up punks -- are the future of music.
  18. I really enjoyed this. I interviewed Travis a few times when the band was together and I always appreciated his honesty and down-to-earth sensibility. At one point the interviewer asks how they could break up when they were on the cusp of something huge. Travis kind of laughs and says "no, we weren't. We might have been on the cusp of being a career club band." http://www.npr.org/2011/01/23/133118250/the-dismemberment-plan-back-in-business
  19. When a junkie writes a letter to a newspaper urging everyone to please avoid something for their own sake, then you have on your hands a substance that should ABSOLUTELY not make it onto your "have to try list."
  20. One of my best friends is teaching English to school children in South Korea. He's absolutely loving it.
  21. I found a Flipper record at a thrift store for $1.99 a few months back. And yesterday at a fleamarket I found the three Alan Parsons Project albums I didn't have.
