  1. I've been buying shirts from them for years. Never, ever had a problem. Same with ShirtKiller. Both are great.
  2. That's weird. Search the board. It was a highly discussed release.
  3. How did I miss this until now? I am looking forward to this like nothing else in recent memory. If the one track they leaked is any indication this is going to be a beast of an album.
  4. I'm sure it's good. Everything they've done has been great.
  5. Honestly, I'd rather be able to own a bike for free than give high school dropouts the "right" to make more money than a scientist with a PhD just because he's in a union. I'm all for paying people whatever some fool is willing to pay them, but when it's the public the situation changes a bit for me. Although honestly I don't think it's fair or even reasonable that an American car costs half again as much as it should because uneducated people make $150,000 a year to screw on bumpers all day. And don't get me started on farmers, the single laziest, money-hungriest group of "workers" in the U.S. of A. Subsidies and unions are killing this country.
  6. I hate the good old days. Those who never shut up about the past are doomed to be boring. Ever forward!
  7. You could just be running too much or need to upgrade your memory.
  8. I do love me some Joan Of Arc. Thanks for the info. Scott, can I get you this for your B-day or did you already order multiple copies for yourself?
  9. Is the record any good? I'm guessing it is. They have a pretty good track record.
  10. Nice list. The new Zomes is great. My six-year-old daughter loves it.
  11. I'm super curious to see what bands come out of the TAAS break up. I try not to get worked up when an awesome band breaks up because it usually means three more awesome bands are coming. Remember, no Botch break up, no MTB, TAAS or Narrows. That's worth more to me than botch staying together and getting boring, which would have been sad.
  12. The kids don't know about This Day Forward. And they should. On vinyl.
  13. I just heard this band when their new 7" came out on Sub Pop. It is so good. A lot like Dead Meadow or some of the mellower shoegaze stuff. If you're into that, order their new record, "Fading Parade." It is damn fine stuff.
  14. While I am a huge TAAS fan, I'm not sure Tail Swallower was quite a perfect album. After all is said and done, I kind of feel like its the weakest release but by no means a bad one. I pretty much love all three albums equally but with a marginal hierarchy putting TS&D at third. Still, that doesn't mean that its inferior in quality in general, just not as good as the others. As far as MTB, POI was my first album from them. Love it. Love MEO. Love HRP to a slightly lesser extent than the aforementioned two and OMNI was just disappointing in general save the few good tracks. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but keep in mind that for the past 15 years I have been a professional music critic and writer. Therefore my opinion counts double what the average music fan's does. BUT, also keep in mind that I am now a humble skate shop owner and as such nobody give a shit what I think anymore, so there you have it. It all balances out. Still though, it's a little toss up between "Easter" and "Tail Swallower," but I think the latter takes it. And TAAS, to me, were the perfect blend of post-punk, progressive hardcore and straight-up rock. Thus, the perfect band, nearly on par with the late, great Into Another (also known as "the greatest band ever to exist).
  15. I think it was a good record, but following "Planet of Ice" had to be hard. That's a near-perfect album in my opinion. See "Tail Swallower and Dove" for an example of a perfect album.
  16. I didn't order them together, so I guess they shipped them separately. As far as them shipping early, I just got notification that the new Obits and J.Mascis LPs shipped from Sub Pop yesterday. I'm super stoked about that as well as the implication that this may mean the new Fleet Foxes record will be here in a few weeks. Crazy.
  17. Got mine today. Looks great. The side four etching is pretty wild.
  18. True. And this next book is like double the size.
  19. I think there's already a thread for this, but so what. Great news. Even though I don't think the album is that great. It's still DH which makes it already better than almost any hard music out there.
  20. It's becoming impossible to do the three month thing. They will make it right with you. What I mean is you'll get all that you paid for. It just gets harder and more expensive to created a printed publication almost weekly. But this issue is worth the wait, I assure you.
  21. I can't believe more people aren't interested in this. It's crazy banjo music for fuck sake. And what beautiful packaging.
  22. Te is backed. After what we all went through to get hat box set there better be some Te on this bitch.
  23. yes, this is the issue after Invisible. I know personally if I had a paid subscription I would not be too keen on paying anything more for it. But it is a huge issue with a TON of great stuff in it. Probably the best issue of the book yet, individual artists notwithstanding.
