dude try not to let these two occurrences prevent you from buying records on here. I've bought tons of records on here without any issues. This is mostly a great community, in fact aside from this thread and the drewski dude a few weeks ago I can only remember a couple other times people have tried to rip others off on here.
I just read this whole thread for the first time and it definitely sucks this asshole is taking advantage of this board, but, tokimedo called it and it genuinely looked fishy. Not to say you can't give people the benefit of the doubt, but just like others have said, look out for some tell-tales:
-new user with generic username
-overly friendly and a girl (sorry but it's the truth)
-conveniently selling in the buyer's favor (need money for apt deposit, wife's medical bills, lost my job, etc. etc.)
-for sale list is mostly rare/wanted records
-also this may seem nitpicky but it threw me off, the format the list that the OP posted was inconsistent, i.e. some titles in all CAPS, some lowercase, not necessarily in order. of course this doesn't 100% mean anything, but it can allude to copying/pasting from multiple sources. If I were to sell stuff from my own trade list, I would copy it all from the same page, and it would all look the same.
-and the dude who overly had great things to say about the seller, but only had 2 posts! suspect at best
don't feel bad if you got scammed, shit happens, Definitely doesn't mean you can't trust the board though. and regarding those of you who actually did get their records, it's like someone else already said, they were just sent to give the impression of legitimacy. it's no surprise that you got a good deal. Oh and NEVER send payment as a gift. I'm pretty sure it's actually against PayPal policy for the seller to even ask that.

It seems that if there is one lesson from this: Listen to the member with 4000+ posts. He called it.
The methods are similar to that rick angley scammer from the Bronx, Multiple accounts, multiple Paypal addresses, a huge willingness to send pictures and sick/away from home stories. Plus a few successful purchases so you see some Kudos.
Paypal claim is your friend, remember to report all the email addresses that you got I don't think you can trust anyone in that chain.

Yeah I got one for myself that was 93/99 and then one for my friend that was 20/99, so they aren't in any sort of order.

got mine today as well on the east coast of the US. pleased with this release, and reading about the inspiration for the art and soundtrack was great.

My favorite TV shows are Californication, Weeds (despite those two - I am not a stoner) Boy Meets World and I am a huge Wes Anderson fan, some of my other my favorite movies are Eternal Sunshine, Garden State, Closer, Boondock Saints, The Departed and The Town.
I play guitar, I studied Jazz guitar, but I also play in punk/indie bands and like spacey delay stuff.
I also read, lots of Beat Generation stuff, huge Bukowski fan
I don't like art prints/screen printed show posters. I have a growing collection of those.
You can probably tell by the fact that my tastes are all over the place that I'm not a particularly picky guy.
