  1. Couldn't find the Cursive anywhere, the Mclusky seems to have been the hardest thing to find in this town, I managed to get one thankfully, along with one Moneen too. The Luna reissues were ridiculously priced (30$ for 1lp 180g with no frills etc)...I caved tho, I love this band so much. I got the Refused, but I don't think mine's the coloured edition, the sticker doesn't say so, and there's no red dot on the cover from what I've been hearing denotes that. Haven't opened it yet though
  2. Yeah that's the impression I got as well. I haven't seen anyone from the US with an early order number (<600) complain about cancellations. That's the thing, I was actually having it shipped to a buddy in MA but they kept having problems with my order (i had TWO emails from them asking me to call them to confirm that my billing address was different than my shipping address), and I still got burned. I'm thinking cuz of all the re-confirming etc... Btw, thx to all of you who've PM'd me offering to help out, you kids are aces. If I can SOMEHOW get a hold of some of those DFA79 represses this weekend I'll try to return the favour
  3. aaaargh, i ordered pretty early, and it looks like my cancellation just came in as well...if anyone is willing to unload an extra to a canadian, PM me please
  4. Just got this over the weekend, listening to it now and it sounds great (asides from random speed changes, which is probably my player's fault)...my sole complaint, man, for $30 for a 2xLP, no liner notes for the vinyl!??! That's effing ridiculous...
  5. I heard the same thing Oct 25th, and still nothing, shot him an email last week...I know it's holidays and all, but still no response and now I found this on the Justin Broadrick facebook page - ...wtf is going on...not looking promising...
  6. hey, dave dropped by CJLO to record a session w/ chuck ragan for my radio show, you can check out the session here - http://www.cjlo.com/sessions/chuck-ragan-dave-hause-61111 aaaand there's an exclusive download of one of the songs they did here - http://www.cjlo.com/omar-goodness/exclus....o-sonics-s essi
  7. probably the original artwork/photo was long gone and unavailable....... just asked a friend who works at merge and this is indeed the reason why. i had asked too if they'll do a boxset or something after all the reissues are done, but unfortunately no. i really wished they woulda done 2xlps of them rather than having the bonux content for the lp be digital only, ah well, these still look nice
  8. i am having the WORST luck with this record...amazon.ca seems to have screwed me out of one, and i keep missing out on all these postings...*womp womp*
  9. you and me both, man...you and me both... also, YES to a box for all of these!
  10. 229 Queen St. W. A couple stores beside the Friendly Stranger. Hmm, the last couple times I've visited Toronto, the staff has been suuuuper nice. Katie especially.
  11. UGH...this really disappoints me...not looking forward to receiving them now...I'm seriously getting aggravated with people overcharging for wax these days and them being total no-frills releases. No insert for a single 180gram record @ $20 is lame.
  12. Up here - http://www.topshelfrecords.bigcartel.com/artist/by-surprise Pretty cool stuff, sorta like early/mid 90s indie meets old school emo...like putting Archers of Loaf, Cap n' Jazz, and early Matador-era Guided By Voices into a blender and ending up with a delicious smoothie. Check it - http://rcrdlbl.com/2011/02/15/premiere_by_surprise_realometer Apparently 1st press of 500, 100 are on smoke coloured wax.
  13. SUCH an amazing band! One of Canada's best, it's so good to see them getting some recognition these days, new 7" is amaaaaaaazing.
  14. dude i was JUST on there yesterday after a while and thought THE SAME THING...it was driving me up the wall
  15. Teeeeeeeeeeell me you guys are gonna do a 10th Anniv. reissue of Pennybridge Pioneers???
  16. you and me both, dude...i drove up to NYC last year to see them in April, was amaaaaaaaaaaazing...I heard from one of the local promoters that a problem with getting them across the border was one of them had a DUI on their record which made crossing the border impossible, but on the last tour they DID play Toronto, so maybe that's sorted out...someone really needs to bring them here
  17. got a red one from interpunk - #1516/2000

  20. such an amazing band...vinyl of theirs is so hard to find and way outta my price range on ebay...apparently Merge is gonna reissue all the records soon. i lucked out and found a 1st pressing of "No Pocky for Kitty" last x-mas, got it signed by Mac and Laura @ CMJ 2009 when they did a book reading for the "Our Noise" book...probably my fave vinyl find, hehehe
  21. this is amazing, i got all the represses of the first three bad religion stuff a couple mths ago, was waiting on against the grain...hope generator comes soon waiting on that 7" "out o' stock" fiasco to be rectified, gotta pull the trigger on that
