  1. I can't find links to the US edition. If someone does, please post! I have a feeling there won't be variants for this. And anyway, with analogue/folk jam bands, you want virgin black for maximum fidelity.
  2. Textile is proud to release for the first time on vinyl the critically acclaimed albums “Flags of the Sacred Harp” from Portland, Oregon’s JACKIE-O MOTHERFUCKER. Released in 2005 this fifth full-length album from the Portland based collective displays the group's patient and evolved songwriting style with historic references to American blues and hymns. This double LP contains songs that are all manifestations, mutations and reinterpretations of old blues and gospel, specifically from an old hymnal called "The Sacred Harp." and is definitly the most accessible and sublime release from Jackie-O Motherfucker. «Flags of the Sacred Harp» is an epic recording documenting the group's maturing skills in writing, arranging and production and is a timeless deconstruction of American music. «Flags of the Sacred Harp stands as Jackie-O Motherfucker's most potent and focused liturgy to date » - Pitchfork «American folk to a new level» - PrefixMag Also expect new material Tom Greenwood has been working on for the next Jackie-O release slated for Fall 2017. This double LP is available through Textile Rds in Europe and Mississipi Records in the U.S. Price: (EU Only) 30euros p&p included. paypal paiement [email protected] Non Eu customer please contact us for postage price. US customer please contact mississipi rds if you want to save money.

  4. Pointing out that a person lacks all the facts of a matter is dishonest and closed debate? Seems more like you're easily butt-hurt and that needs to be worked on. I'm more sick of people acting like babies when it's established they haven't thought of all the angles. Fragile male ego shits the bed again. Also, sorry, but there's also no universal expectation for "emotionless" anything. People are not machines.
  5. Wow I forgot to mention that the TTA Map of What Is Effortless came in at the beginning of the month. It's in tip-top shape!
  6. The universe is a simulation. But the lead guy from Massive Attack is real.
  7. Got all my RSD orders in! All three Colleen reissues, one from Norman Records (UK) and the other two from Graveface's Discogs storefront (US). A Cracked Actor from the always-reliable Juno (UK), and An SDRE from 1-2-3-4 Go! (US, first-time purchase). Everything came in decent shape. There might be the tiniest amount of creasing on the corners of Cracked Actor but that has more to do with the too-tight sealing job for its tri-fold sleeve than anything else.
  8. I was a Batman Returns fan. I appreciated Forever for what it is and watched it a whole bunch but it gets old, fast. I will say this: NO ONE has looked better in the suit than Val Kilmer. Not by a wide mile. But blonde Bruce Wayne? Dafugoudaheerwitdat.
  9. The reason the Batman Forever OST would be a good RSD candidate is the exclusive, never-appears-anywhere-else U2 track. Oh, and the cover tracks (Hutchence and Massive Attack) are exclusives too but The Offspring cover of The Damned isn't, right?
  10. Cool beans! Rather than buying those EP reissues *and* the actual album on vinyl for the first time, I get everything plus those 3 studio cuts. Not too worried about the colour edition; of course, if I find one at a store or something it's mine but I ain't paying shipping for it,
  11. Yes to both. e.g. is also exempli gratia --> think "here's an example for free" while i.e. is id est ("that is" as in "that is to say...") EDIT: Lol @ thread title change.
  12. Oh wow is this going to shops? I'd consider buying this but not with shipping costing basically 50% more (actually a half-decent price to Canada these days considering what we're dealing with here)
  13. They still got a lot of things in fact... Like a few copies of all four TV Personalities albums at 50CAD a piece (to be fair, they're going for 30GBP). Can't afford them but will keep an eye on their stock levels...
  14. I'm a film PhD. In one class that my colleagues TAed, around 2014 or 2015, the students voted for their favourite film to be screened and for there to be a lecture and reading about it. These 3rd-year students chose Space Jam. The prof, a bit of a snob, said no and there nearly was a riot. They got their way and there happens to be one half-decent academic article written about it. *emoji shrug* The Blade Runner was a picture disc, so no dice for me. Plus finding the inferior New American Orchestra version in used bins is fairly ordinary so I'm not sure about the demand I'd love a vinyl boxset of the 25th Anniversary 3CD some day but that might have to wait for the 40th anniversary of the film... Hopefully not the 50th.
  15. Bowie - A Reality Tour 3xLP box set with transparent blue vinyl (Great album; Bowie's last tour) in case Cracked Actor got you excited for $49.92 which is pretty much as cheap as it gets. https://www.amazon.ca/Reality-Tour-Vinyl-David-Bowie/dp/B01IB6PWSO/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1493493309&sr=1-1&keywords=reality+tour
  16. For the Elastica heads, Rupert from Drift Records believes there will be a general release in a few months and that the flexi-disc will be orderable too FWIW. I gave up tonight hours ago myself.
  17. Just realized that a complete BBC sessions would likely run four, even five sides so it would have to be 5LP. I would have had no idea of that at the time... Heck, I wouldn't really be browsing Amazon for records... I only was aware of Discogs, Ebay, online storefronts and (e)mail-order
  18. Elastica was the White Whale of RSD 2014; figures the same would go this year. I just wish Rough Trade would get around to making a 2,000 copy pressing of this. I'd buy it in black if it came with flexi-disc. Oh, a vinyl version of the BBC stuff and a deluxe version of The Menace that collects the EP and subsequent singles would be killer, too. EDIT: Heck they just need to release some 3 or 4 LP vinyl boxset of everything they recorded (with maybe some unheard stuff too)
  19. What are the odds Juno has a copy of Elastica? A lot of their RSD 2017 stuff went online but not that one...
