They cancelled all the orders. I also had one in at Popmarket, and they eventually just gave up.
 
I'd be very happy with a scratch n dent copy at a reasonable price. I refuse to pay the insane import or flipper prices for this.

I added my e-mail to be notified, played the queue game, and refreshed consistently starting around 8:54 (PST).  Nothing popped up.  I think this is like many of the "leftover" drops over the last 24 hours – few and far between, and never truly restocked online if there were no extras available.

You posted this reply a 11:58AM EST. 2 minutes before noon. I had the page loaded but when I refreshed just now I am 4007 in queue and apparently will have to wait 37 minutes. Stupid fucking RT.

I can tell you guys with the utmost confidence that RT did not have any Dirty Three available. 😔

I think my entire state received 1 copy of The Dirty Three total.   Seriously i think ive called all of them at this point.

If you're not set on a signed copy, I did find a UK store, Intense Music, still taking orders. I'm not familiar with them. Comes out to the same price as Resident and Rough Trade were selling them for with shipping.

SAME.  Was also 13th in line (5:45 am) and they said they didn't get it.  Much later, at another spot, we heard they "had" it but was long gone.  Was nowhere online when sites went live.  And has sold minimally on eBay if it's really 1500 copies.  ANY TIPS??  Holler if you see it! thx,

I hope to bag a copy or two....not many of them available though. Also, i noticed that Dirty Three's Ocean Songs 4xlp boxset that was cancelled last year is back..this time with larger pressing number.

I'm reading Discogs comments, now, saying otherwise.  And these are from people who have the deluxe in-hand.  So now I'm back to being unsurprised – but still a smidge disappointed – that the FP samples are re-recorded.
 
We've all beat this horse to death a million times over, so there's no real point in rehashing how un/important that sample may be to an individual's ability to enjoy the record.  Maybe it's petty, but it just raises a lot of fucking questions on my end.
 
• Why did this get canned for 4 years?  (Was it just to sort out legalities of the remixes?)
• Why does the remix of Frontier Psychiatrist feature the OG samples?
• Why update the album online – omitting old samples – but have it not match the 2021 vinyl?
• Why would the band actively dodge any and all questions pertaining to samples, on all platforms of social media?  (This one is rhetorical, don't worry.)
 
Honestly, it's the last bit that kind of rubs me the wrong way.  To reiterate, I never assumed we'd be getting all our OG samples back.  Ambitiously hoped? – sure.  But realistically expected that it wouldn't happen.  Especially in months leading up when the band seemed to acknowledge praise on IG and Facebook with various Likes, but deliberately avoided the numerous people asking about the integrity of OG samples.  Just seemed really sleazy since they were obviously interested in securing as many pre-sales as possible.
 
On their official webstore, they marketed it as "the original 18 track album".  Interpret that as you may.  I think it's misleading to use that verbiage, on top of re-uploading the album to streaming services, and then selling a different mix for $80.  If you're not familiar with the album and your first exposure was listening to it a couple of times on Apple Music or Spotify, and then you threw down for the deluxe vinyl... you may not really notice a difference.  But at the end of the day you are getting a different mix for the band's most popular song, and I think it's just kinda' shitty that they didn't even try to communicate that.  [But why would they?]  If the samples were truly lost, like it's been rumored, all it'd take is a "Nope, some of those samples are still MIA, sorry" comment from Avalanches.  Would've maybe cost them a few sales but man... what a better look it would've been.

I had this happen a few months ago. Buyer paid for a record and before I shipped it said they found it cheaper and wanted to cancel. I said sure - I'll refund you minus the fees that I don't get back. They threw a fit and filed an item not received paypal claim so I just shipped the record, won the claim. They messaged me after they got it asking why I shipped it after they asked me to cancel the order. I told them because they filed a claim that they never received the item.

I guess those who are consistent sellers have known about this for a while. I haven't posted up anything for sale in maybe two years. So I'm late to the party. And will still bitch about it.
