  1. Interesting that they switched up the tracklisting... I can imagine a stripped down version of Hang On Me being an amazing closer.
  2. Oh, for sure! It's always been my favorite RATM record, despite the production not being as "good" as the others. I still don't think the album sounds bad at all, just very different from the other two, which obviously was the intent. I was personally curious to how this new press sounded, if it was remastered, worth the money, etc. Didn't get a chance to see, just heard a copy at work.
  3. Listened to one side of the Battle of LA reissue, it sounds good but not great. Nowhere near as good as their other records (not the new reissues, I didn't hear the others), but still enjoyable... especially at the price point. It's just not much better than the CD... not quite as brickwalled but still pretty compressed. If you don't have a copy, I'd grab it, but I wouldn't track it down if you already have it.
  4. I saw on the St. Vincent subreddit some record stores have listings for a version of this record coming out next month, along with some new ebay listings as well. A few of the record stores have it listed an acoustic version, which would be amazing. Anyone else hear about this?
  5. Goddamn... I was starting to think it would never happen. Trent must really be loving not being tied to such a rigid stage production each night with how varied all these sets have been... I was even surprised when the show before Red Rocks didn't have The Hand That Feeds!
  6. See, I've had the worst luck with the Dim Mak press. I've been lucky enough to have two copies over the years, but both sounded poorly mastered from something digital and just sounded overpowered by hiss and distortion. The second copy sounded better on the earlier tracks of each side, but once you got near the label it started to almost sound like a bad FM radio. Did I really get unlucky or am I just not being realistic about what a vinyl pressing of this record should sound like?
  7. All of the new "definitive editions" sound fantastic. They lack the dynamic range of the original pressings, but aren't compressed enough to my ear to be any issue. Add the extremely well recreated artwork and the booklets discussing the creation of the records... they're totally worth it. Especially when you figure in the price difference. Originals of The Fragile have been nose diving recently, but they're still floating around $100 vs. ~$40 for a brand new reissue that sounds just as good.
  8. For any Chicago dudes here: Reckless Records is getting four copies TOTAL of the colored version of this. 2 at WP, one at each other location. $25. Also gonna have a bunch of the black vinyl.
  9. Damn. It's pretty rough waiting for years for them to announce a Chicago show, then they finally do, it's on my birthday, and it sells out before I ever even heard about it! Regardless, I'm beyond excited the record is finally coming out. They've always scratched such a specific itch for me musically and I can't wait to hear more. Can only spin those first three LPs so many times before the "holy SHIT how are they this heavy?!" wears off a bit.
  10. I'm still eagerly waiting to find out who gives a shit about bigfoot.
  11. Still there, just under a new link: https://shop.kingpush.com/products/daytona-vinyl-digital-album
  12. If any of y'all are going to the Chicago presale this Saturday, Reckless is gonna have a pop up shop where you can preorder the record or the CD (guessing they're coming out together this time) and the first 250 people to do so are getting some exclusive lithograph. I don't know if it is the same one in the deluxe bundle from nin.com, however.
  13. One or two bundles have popped back up on the site, so keep refreshing if you missed it. Seems like some people are having second thoughts.
  14. All the extra artwork that came with it is so dope, as well. Especially that print of the cover without the text.
  15. In case anyone is looking for this on black vinyl, Reckless just got our shipment in. A bunch of them are already on hold for outstanding special orders but we should still have a healthy amount.
  16. Dude, I'm beyond bummed I missed this. This has been #1 on my want list for a vinyl pressing for the better part of ten years now. I gotta keep a better eye out for stuff like this.
  17. We (Reckless) sold out of those green copies so quick, I think in two or three days. We were also told the green is out of print completely now, and that all future restocks are gonna be on black vinyl. If it helps anyone out, since I know some people were asking about it, I think only one or two of our green copies had a sticker saying it was a limited edition. The rest didn't.
  18. As far as I know, we did not even have our shipment yet when I left work tonight (Thursday). To my knowledge, we should (hopefully) have the /1000 for 4/20, maybe the /10,000 and a CD sometime next week, but there's a slight chance our shipment maaaay show up late. Pretty sure it won't but I'm not the new buyer, so grain of salt. Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about that too.
  19. I work at Reckless in Chicago, we'll have the /1000 press for $50. No holds, one per, all that good limited edition stuff.
  20. Saw them last year at the Beat Kitchen. Their older live videos on Youtube seem like they used to be more intense and raw live, but there was a great energy and vibe at the show I saw. More restrained than I was expecting, but still really fun. It would have been cool to have a record of them live around the Old Lace era, but I feel like their actual playing wouldn't have been as fun to listen to after the fact. That's just me, though!
  21. Surprised it took them this long to put out a full length live record, they kick ass on stage.
  22. Cool, thanks for the info. I figured I had just missed it.
  23. Uhhh... Amobea Records has the original Blade Runner soundtrack on LP for sale on their website, but I can't find anything else about it online... I know a couple pages back someone mentioned a reissue in the near future, but I haven't heard anything announced. Anyway, here's the link: https://www.amoeba.com/blade-runner-ost-lp-vangelis/albums/3682059/
  24. First batch of various Brand New goodies. Just LPs in this first round, but will have various other collectables in the next. 100% of the proceeds are going to a non-profit based in NY named MADRE. They're pretty cool and their mission statement is in the listings. https://tinyurl.com/ycp3d8oz
