Bodyjar No Touch Red on Vinyl

I assume thats the inclusive price not shipping alone, but yeah, unfortunately theres no surprises there. Australia Post is horrendously expensive to send vinyl overseas. -

Hell yes!! I'v been trying to order this, but it's been not available to the EU for some reason untill it went up. Also emailed them about it, but no reply yet. So hopefully soon I can order this have you tried [email protected]? ive emailed them a couple of times before and they've always got back to me really quickly. -

Totally agree. I was so stoked this got a vinyl release finally. I couldnt get my order in quick enough. -
Yeah I'm no expert but from what I've seen, as if vinyl costs aren't crazy enough, when you add jacket printing it pushes up into insane territory. Knowing how much it costs for Oz labels to press I'm good with paying around $20 for LPs. I think the caveat on these 'vinyl price' threads is that they're talking about the US (I'm guessing). I'd kinda hope no one really thinks Oz labels can/should sell for $13-$15 just because its feasible to do it in the US.

Frank Turner - Sleep Is For The Week Vinyl

But yeah, xtramile always seems to send records to me in either thin card or bubble mailers so they arrive with bent corners galore. Annoying. -

Frank said on his forum that they're trying to rectify the UK and Ireland only restriction, saying it's a legal thing. I hope they find a way cos I soooo want a copy of this. -
what upcoming releases are you anticipating?

Rainbo quoted over $1200 for shipping and dont seem willing to use anyone other than UPS so thats them out unfortunately. Pirates Press said they dont have to use dmm and can plate from lacquers too. Anyone here ever done that with them? GottaGroove are on the cards too. Their vinyl seems really nice. -
Yeah took aaaaages to arrive, but such a great album.

Thanks for the reply! I emailed Rainbo and they replied saying "Our standard weight for 12” is between 138 and 143 grams." and that the next step up is 180 gram. Did you work out a deal with them for the 155-165g? -

Guys, I'm hoping you can share some insight and opinions on recent vinyl quality coming out of the various plants. I never know where most of the records I buy have been pressed but I always appreciate it when I get a more substantial record as opposed to a flimsy feeling one. Any advice on which plants are pressing nice solid vinyl without having to go to 180g? Aside from the ones done by Pirates Press (which I love but Im not looking to go dmm) I thought the Dave Hause LP (from Gotta Groove?) felt pretty sturdy.
