dynabcn got a reaction from jackshidt in PO: Adrianne Lenker - abysskiss
New solo album of Adrianne Lenker from Big Thief.
"Following a two week road trip through the southwestern United States, Lenker headed into the studio with longtime friend Luke Temple. Temple put on his loosely fitting, bright orange, 100% wool producer hat and for one week they made music. The songs chosen for this collection were the songs that felt the most alive in the room. These are not castaways or B-sides. Some of these songs have been alive for years while some were written just days before the session. Some will appear in differ ent future forms, some will not. The thread that connects these songs is not something that can easily be put down in words. Intuition connects these songs. They are a record of a time.
With this collection, Lenker further illuminates to the listening public what those close to her already know; here we have a songwriter of the highest order, following her voice and the greater Voices that pass through her with an unflinching openness and clarity of translation".
To be released on the 5th of october via Saddle Creek.

dynabcn got a reaction from Skacel in PO soon: boygenius (Julien Baker /Lucy Dacus/ Phoebe Bridgers) - boygenius EP
Good news for the european dudes (like me): the guys of Matador just told me that they will put up "very soon" some units of the tricolor variant

dynabcn got a reaction from Rip in PO soon: boygenius (Julien Baker /Lucy Dacus/ Phoebe Bridgers) - boygenius EP
I work on an online music magazine and it seems that yesterday they had to cancel the announcement of the EP due to a video problem (the promo video wasn't well executed or so, i don't know). Today is the day that they will announce it.
I hope they announce at least a vinyl variant.

dynabcn got a reaction from twentytwo in PO: Courtney Marie Andrews - May Your Kindness Remain
"In some ways, being a touring musician is a lot like being an anthropologist. In traveling from city to city, you spend a lot of time interacting with strangers, whether it's checking into the latest motel or stopping by a local watering hole for a drink after the show. You quickly pick up on how the shared quirks of a few small-town bartenders may actually tell a much larger story than a couple minutes of small talk initially reveal, or how the relationship squabbles overheard in the hotel lobby late at night share similar themes regardless of geographic locale.
Accordingly, touring is also a great way to find material for new songs. Courtney Marie Andrews did just that when writing her forthcoming album May Your Kindness Remain, a collection of songs, borne from interactions with others, that strives for healing and empathy in the midst of division and discord"

dynabcn got a reaction from lethalenforcer in PO: Anna Burch - Quit The Curse
“Strange the ones you love could bury your body underground” opens Anna Burch’s new song “Tea-Soaked Letter,” for which we have a video today. Burch’s ’90s-nostalgic voice and tone pairs well with her simple, straightforward, poignant lyrics, asking a love interest to improve their communication as promised and send her a “tea-soaked” letter. In the video, directed by Ambar Navarro, Burch makes tea, makes toast, looks at tarot cards, sits in a bath — all while looking a bit anxious, like she’s waiting to hear from the person she’s singing about. Prior to “Tea-Soaked Letter,” we heard “2 Cool 2 Care” and “Asking 4 A Friend” from Burch, and now have learned that she’s releasing her debut album Quit The Curse in February. Check out the new video below via The Line Of Best Fit.
Release date: February 2

dynabcn got a reaction from andables in PO: S. Carey - Hundred Acres
'Hundred Acres' finds Carey at his most confident, mature, and grounded, writing the strongest songs of his career. At its core, the album is a poetic treatise on what is truly necessary in life, a surprisingly utilitarian art project that underscores the power of enduring. Carey challenges himself and the listener to strive for a near-utopian ideal of returning to a simpler way of life, and loving those around you, to heal personal wounds.
Hundred Acres is out 2/23 on Jagjaguwar.

dynabcn reacted to AldoTVAOF in PO: Starcrawler - Starcrawler
Looks like there's only circa 200 of the white vinyl with Alternative artwork available. US store states only 50 available and only around 130 available currently on the Europe store (presumably started at 150.) There's also an I Love LA 7" out this Friday available in UK indies that isn't on the Rough Trade Records store.

dynabcn got a reaction from Monastic_mike in The Autograph Thread
I think he doesn't sign much stuff after shows anymore. The way how I could get that autograph was quite funny (i think).
I was in Wolverhampton doing an interview to Mike Viola, Ryan's guitar player, in march 2015. After i did it I asked the tour manager If Ryan could sign my vinyl of the selftitled LP. "Sure" - she said. "What do you him to say" And I said, "i don't know, something about Pablo (my name)". This is what I got lol

This week I will receive the early bird of this album. I own the early bird one of Masterpiece and... wtf, people have been going crazy with that one. I even received a pair of messages on ebay from people wanting to do an exchange for that LP.
