  1. very true, as someone mentioned above no MBV rollout is straightforward. either way I'm happy, $110 shipped for the standard bundle or $125 shipped for 2 deluxe and 1 standard (IA). I think that's still a little less than what I would have paid for the 2018 reissues from mbv.org.
  2. ordered! the guitar picks are sweet. the shipping is actually not as bad as I thought compared to shipping from the UK. now I may just get the other two from MBV webstore and cancel the recordstore.co.uk order.
  3. mbv deluxe up on bullmoose. don't think we'll see the deluxe version of the other two in the states. I just went with the standard bundle on recordstore.co.uk, better than nothing after all these years waiting.
  4. in the US, went with the standard option on all 3 just to be safe in case even those sold out later.
  5. some on instagram and twitter suggested that these are just kevin making their remastered catalogue available on streaming platforms worldwide. while it’s very welcomed for some i’ll be more excited about reissues/a boxset.
  6. definitely up there as GYBE’s best work. i even enjoyed the “fillers”. they seem more like proper songs than the usual drone noises on previous albums. top of my post-pandemic shows wishlist.
  7. Schlagenheim is my most-listened to album in the last couple of years so I'm really excited about this one. Maybe finally an excuse to stop listening to Black Country, New Road every day 😁 There are a number of options available, just to list the ones I'm aware of: LP + Comic https://shopusa.roughtraderecords.com/cavalcade Picture Disc https://www.bullmoose.com/p/35004132/black-midi-cavalcade-picture-disc LP + Stickers set https://www.recordstore.co.uk/recordstore/recordstore/Cavalcade-CD-Exclusive-Sticker-Set/6X8D0000000 LP+ Flexi (contains a cover track TBD exclusive to the store. Rough Trade's Flexi is going to have a different track to Tower Records for example) https://www.roughtrade.com/us/black-midi/cavalcade/lp-plus New single John L available on 12"
  8. a somewhat easy pass for me due to price. love the band but 1LP + Book does seem relatively overpriced compared to the album + coffee table book format released over the last couple of years (think ok computer (3LP and Sigur Ros ( 6LP)). will gladly buy the standalone LP if it ever becomes available.
  9. pretty heavy surface noise on the red. is the white any better?
  10. tracking for my mondo order is now live, expected arrival next monday.
  11. i got folklore on target red, might just get green this time round just to mix things up
  12. B&N exclusive is out. just black vinyl but with 3 “trading cards” https://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/daddys-home-st-vincent/36029274
  13. bandcamp ships to canada for pretty low rate i think? it’s sold out for now but it will be restocked there sorry just checked it’s $12 for first item, that’s definitely not cheap
  14. i like how they always (i said always but for me it’s only 2 out of 2 times) included a hand written thank you note.
  15. RT UK calls the indie version “transparent white”, that’s one way of saying clear...
  16. nice, love those long pieces by them. when i saw the track listing with 4 songs i thought great but then i recalled asunder was 4 tracks roughy 10 mins each. great to see they are returning to the long piece format
  17. we wrote it on the road mostly. when that was still a place. and then recorded it in masks later, distanced at the beginning of the second wave. it was autumn, and the falling sun was impossibly fat and orange. we tried to summon a brighter reckoning there, bent beneath varied states of discomfort, worry and wonderment. we fired up the shortwave radios again, for the first time in a long time. and found that many things had changed. the apocalypse pastors were still there, but yelling END TIMES NOW where they once yelled "end times soon". and the transmission-detritus of automated militaries takes up more bandwidth now, so that a lot of frequencies are just pulses of rising white static, digital codexes announcing the status of various watching and killing machines. and the ham-radio dads talk to each other all night long. about their dying wives and what they ate for lunch and what they'll do with their guns when antifa comes. this record is about all of us waiting for the end. all current forms of governance are failed. this record is about all of us waiting for the beginning, and is informed by the following demands= empty the prisons take power from the police and give it to the neighbourhoods that they terrorise. end the forever wars and all other forms of imperialism. tax the rich until they're impoverished. much love to all the other lost and lovely ones, these are death-times and our side has to win. we'll see you on the road once the numbers fall. xoxoxox god's pee montreal, quebec, kanada 1 march, 2021
  18. http://cstrecords.com/products/godspeed-you-black-emperor-g_d-s-pee-at-state-s-end/ Bullmoose has it for the best price I'm seeing so far: https://www.bullmoose.com/p/34968684/godspeed-you-black-emperor-g_ds-pee-at-states-end-black-180-gram-lp-10-in-gatefold-jacket-w-thermographic-print-colour-flood-interior-artworked-inners-and-dl-card But it's Bandcamp Friday in two days (Thanks Derek for the reminder): https://godspeedyoublackemperor.bandcamp.com/album/g-d-s-pee-at-state-s-end Check out the trailer as well:
  19. don't have much experience with mondo - do they ever oversell pre-orders and had to cancel what they can't fill? or if you're in then you're in?
  20. snagged one, didn't care much whether it is /1000 or /1500, it's just my favorite in terms of aesthetics
  21. same, and i actually appreciate them more now than i did during the peak of their powers. i think their post reunion work has been terrific while their classics age extremely well that i still keep revisiting 20 years later. almost every release/reissues (and there’s been a lot) are an instant-buy for me. i hope they repress the tears soon.
  22. Bullmoose is taking pre-orders with a June 12 release date https://www.bullmoose.com/p/34906990/london-suede-love-poison live album for their 1993 Brixton Academy show. never released on cd/vinyl before but the band did release the show as the first of a series of shows they were putting on youtube during the pandemic. https://youtu.be/6AHGc1fDWDk
  23. would be nice to be able to grab the red but if not i’ll just stick with the white. could hv grabbed the clear last night but i’m quite indifferent between white and clear and the white is $5 less
  24. preordered the white on bullmoose while hoping for a more exciting mondo variant.
