I totally get that, it’s a weird record. If you’re expecting a total banger you’re not going to get it. I felt the last 2 records were kinda samey but this new record is different and I think that’s why I’m so into it.

Really digging this new record, lots of proggy and experimental elements (even a saxophone solo!). This will definitely be one of my favorite metal records of 2021.

Got Nude With Boots and Bride Screamed Murder on red the other day, both sound good. I missed out on A Senile Animal so was looking around online for a copy on aqua but I think several record stores might be returning them due to this issue. I ended up grabbing one from Acoustic Sounds so we’ll see what happens.

Reading on Discogs that Ipecac screwed up at least one of the A Senile Animal pressings. Here is what the label had to say about the issue - Thanks for hitting us up and sorry for the hassle. There was a mixup in manufacturing and we just found out about this when we got our samples of the record. The error was on 1000 of this sold-out limited release, so we’re offering full refunds if you return the entire record to your point of purchase. Our webstores are already in the mix on this, and we’re getting the word out to record stores to accept returns as well. I’m sure the copies that have this error will end up being a collector’s item (like an error baseball card), but totally understand if you want to send it back. Fill out this form before you return it so we can hit you back when the new corrected batch is in (as we’ll offer them to people that had this problem first). The new batch probably won’t be ready until December since vinyl takes forever to make these days, so we appreciate your patience.

Just bought Gruntruck - Push from a seller on eBay for $38.99 who still has a couple of copies left as of now. I've seen some places online as high as $45.99 on that one, Discogs is at $42.

Yup, I canceled my order after noticing it was $5 over msrp and they charged me 5.99 to ship a single LP (website said 3.99). Found it on Discogs and saved $7. I also noticed they kept increasing the price of many releases as the day went on.
