So, the day I got back from LA after travelling to the Chris Cornell tribute show these arrived at my door step. The Melvins played “Leech” at the show, which reminded me these were gonna be out soon and made me even more excited to give them a listen. I don’t have the original pressings of Rehab Doll or Dry As A Bone but much like Jack Endino’s other remixes from the likes of TAD, Soundgarden and U-Men, they sound great. You can tell a lot of love were put into these with the awesome linear notes, photos of the band etc. I’m digging the bonus tracks too, especially the ones included with Dry As A Bone. Sub Pop did an excellent job with these.

No love for The Origin Of The Feces with Pete’s butthole on the cover? Seriously though, it’s one of my favorite “live” albums. I have the box set but this new BK reissue sure is tempting.

I ended up ordering the Loser edition and it’s been hard to take it off my turntable since it arrived. Really good record.

I've been listening to Rainier Fog a lot, I really like it and the vinyl sound great. The only song I can't get into is "Drone", which is odd because when I read a description of it I figured it'd be right up my alley. I think I like this album more than TDPDH but not sure on BGWTB, gotta give that one another listen soon.

Hopefully The Process gets a vinyl release eventually but it isn't owned by Nettwerk and I haven't heard any buzz about that happening any time soon. Weapon is really good, definitely the best from the post-Dwayne era, the rest are hit and miss. Live at Doomsday and Live: Bootlegged, Broke And In Solvent Seas are both really good if you like live albums. Ohgr just released a new solo album called Tricks that I highly recommend and his live show this tour has been awesome, it's the best I've seen him and that includes the Skinny Puppy shows I've been to.

My splatter just arrived! Pretty excited to get this on release day, especially since I couldn't get tickets to the secret show in Seattle at The Crocodile tonight because of work. The record was shipped UPS next day air and arrived with no damage (no shipping confirmation beforehand btw). Pretty impressed.

It wasn’t bad (Pillorian) but it just felt like it was missing something. Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe I just miss Anderson’s guitar work and ideas mixed with Haughm’s. People give Haughm a ton of credit for Agalloch and rightfully so but Anderson was also a huge creative force within the band.
