  1. Hey guys. So I took the forum's advice and ditched my Jensen all in one system and purchased a vintage Fisher system. The turn table itself is a mt-867 model. The issue is, once I move the tone arm over to the groove and pull the queueing lever down, no sound comes out. It's like it doesn't go down far enough to play the record. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Thanks for the reply. What about an Audio Technical lp-60? It's got some great reviews that I've read but like I said I'm totally new to this and don't really understand what all I need to purchase in order to have a functional unit.
  4. Hello, new member here. I'm brand new to collecting and recently received a Jensen JTA475B and a handful of used Lps as a gift. When I play the vinyl I get a very distorted sound; it's usually worse on certain noises, usually S's and other things. It came with an am/fm radio, CD player, cassette player, and six port to plug a phone or other music player into it. They all sound bad but the phonograph component is the worst which sucks since that's the very reason I wanted a player in the first place. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
