  1. shipping and prices are cheaper at no idea. seems odd to me but whatever. i've wanted to pick up P+P releases for awhile but I always put it off because of those things, now I just get it from No Idea.
  2. while i have to agree with the hating of the flipping that goes on. i did talk to one of the creators of RSD on Saturday and I have to think that RSD is a good thing. While there will always be people who look for profit anytime anywhere, I have this feeling that RSD is a good thing. It's gets people aware of their local record store. I was at a pot luck later that day and because of a FB update, other people were asking about RSD. Most of them didn't even know vinyl was still being made but they were all interested in knowing the reason behind RSD.
  3. It just occurred to me that the success of this years RSD only means a crazier one next year. This year was pretty nuts and it was obviously way nuttier than last year. This was only the third one. YIKES.
  4. i got AM HWM LCD Beastie Boys Ted Leo Fucked Up (grimeys) i might go back for somemore. Can't find the Hold Steady or Pavement in Atlanta. Would love some help with the Pavement, I know I'm not finding the Hold Steady.
  5. at this time, post-Baxter, Tim was in the Killing Tree, the Honor System, Arma Angelus and then he joined Rise Against/Transistor Revolt...and he may have had one or two other projects in the works too... so he quit all of the other bands as Rise Against became his main focus. as someone who loves the lineage of Chicago punk, this stands as an important document. this is a great/important release.
  6. !!!!! now i don't have to call my grandma and ask her to get it for me in Florida!!!! Shit. Now I have to get up early to go to criminal. I think I'll ride my bike that day... I'll be there early that day. I want to make sure I get the Hold Steady album. I dont trust myself to ride my bike with records, you're braver than me.

  12. after the fact i realized you probably know about that. but i'm almost a hundred percent sure that i ordered mine very soon after they went on sale and it was either blue and pink, or blue, pink, and black.
  13. blue and pink are the first pressing as far as i understand. check collectors corner http://www.sabotproductions.net/
  14. dang I always knew I should have bought one of each color. I was shocked to look on ebay and see what some have gone for and none of them were blue or pink.

  17. thanks, i was trying to order a 7" too and that was bumping the shipping up to almost 11 dollars.
  18. i balked at the crazy shipping costs. blargh.
  19. The Rugcutters were one of my favorites back then. Sometime in college I borrowed a friends copy of the 7" and had a guy put it on cd for me. Somewhere in the boxes and boxes of cds in my attic is that cd.
  20. A local Tampa ska band from my youth The Rugcutters. I was too dumb and poor and short sighted to buy their one and only release, a 7". Now that i'm older and have cash I cant find the record to save my life.
