I think the main issue with people who don’t like this is that it’s being compared to PV. good nature is a fine album, great even... but peripheral vision was bottled lightning and I don’t see them ever topping it, even if they were to lean back into the same sound full-tilt. that's a once in a career album. Damn what I wouldn’t give to hear it for the first time again.

far be it for me to bitch about colored vinyl cause I like to hammer home that they all sound the same regardless of how many there are or how many splatters they fucked into a variant but like... why? none of these colors make a lick of aesthetic sense. and to my knowledge, the other pressings are pretty readily available. Weird. EDIT: White for Silence makes a small lick of sense... but 25% is a pretty shitty score!

This I can wrap my head around, for sure. I guess my confusion lies with people who need ALL the variants for ALL the releases just on some weird principle. All that says to me is hey I have lots of cash and free time. Seems excessive, BUT... what part of this dumbass hobby isn't?

Pretty much just the last two albums make up the bulk of their set these days. I find coffins on io to be far superior to plastic house on base of sky, but they're both great. They'll occasionally drop something from blue lambecy or the eps, and maaaaybe they break out something from dowsing, never seen em play anything from Choirs in the last decade. By and large expect to hear Coffins and PHOBOS. EDIT: Completely forgot Hubardo exists. Definitely gonna hear the more "accessible" songs from it. Typically And He Built Him a Boat and Passing the River. Occasionally The Black Stone if youre (un)lucky
