  1. every 16-year old youtube commenter didn't seem to have much trouble: "its not their old rock n rolly sound like 'Beverly Hills' but it sure is funky!!! :DD D" no, its just generic 2018 pop.
  2. sociopathic uber driver has no concern for injured fellow human. what is this video even trying to say? also, dreadful song.
  3. The prevalence of warping will likely never be known as 1/3 of these were bought by tweens that don't own a turntable, 1/3 were purchased by vaporkids unconcerned with actual vinyl audio quality, and the final 1/3 are sitting in Todd's basement.
  4. wow thanks for this bump. after spending much of the weekend replaying this album, its definitely going to be in my top 10, probably top 5 by year end. Pretty sure the last track is my favorite too:

  6. i guess claiming you made an album as an "f you" to the people that allow you to pursue music as a career is better than making super-generic pop songs like "think i'm still in love with you".
  7. someone brought up sounding like a bad weezer song in another thread.... seems to apply here too. I just don't get this band
  8. back to back posts from people who have the record in hand and could have spun it and commented on the pressing quality, but decided to instead comment before spinning it. first guy is the best, asking if others have quality issues when he has a copy in his house waiting to be tested.
  9. all this talk about having not listened to the record yet. scintillating stuff
  10. yeah this album is still getting better the more I listen to it. The second half of Glint from about 6:25 on is some of the best stuff I've heard in a while.... and then night people starts
  11. Yup, one of the better albums of last year, and it seemed to go largely under the radar. Never expected to like it, but its really good.
  12. I guess I just don't understand how its "shitty and harmful on a macro level" (but... youre not offended) to use a term that means something objectively bad to mean something else objectively bad. Both of your examples don't compare, because one is ("gay=lame") which is obvious why it could be offensive to some, and ("retarded=really stupid"), which is also obvious why it could be offensive. But no one is saying rape is good by using it how they do on the internet. You are suggesting words that mean serious things should only be used to talk about those serious things, I guess? You're just fighting the wrong fight, but if that is the struggle you must bear to do right in the world, so be it.
  13. I'm sure this is the case, if it is making news now. I guess I just think its pretentious and naive to attack someone just for using a term in a context that you find offensive.
  14. I was comparing the mob's response, not the act they were responding to. The acts here ARE incomparable, because one writer is specifically focusing on infant rape, and the other probably wasn't even thinking about rape while typing a phrase.
  15. Never heard of any of these people before today, and dont really care about the backstory. Was just making an observation. People constantly gang up on posters on this board who use a colloquial phrase with no ill-intent, yet there is adamant defense for a creative person who made a tasteless skit that is specifically intended to be comedic and downplays the act of rape by turning it into (again, tasteless) comedy.
