as a reminder: 8 p.m UK time; 3 p.m EDT, 2 p.m. CDT., 12 p.m. PDT in a matter of hours is when UK stores can go live. just...yeah.
Anyone looking for the 1975 LP and OK with shipping from the UK the best chance will probably be with Banquet. As of this morning they say they have "plenty" still. But they expect thousands of people to be trying to get them online, so you'll need to be logged in with details ready at 8pm on the dot to stand any chance.

So dumb that they only made 2500 of The 1975. Couldn’t find it anywhere.
Guess they didn't fully anticipate the the demand, there was 4500 for the UK and still could have sold a lot more here than that

Virtually everything I’ve read has suggested that the Euro indie blue marble is the way to go. It also happens to look a lot more interesting than the US equivalent (which reportedly sounds like butt).
I have the Euro indie blue marble and it does indeed sound good, no complaints at all.
As to the music I'd say it's not top tier (Dead Cities / Dawn / Saturdays / Hurry Up / DSVII which I'd say are all great - I know DSVII isn't a universal opinion), but it's better than Junk, DSVI & the debut. I'd probably rank it alongside the soundtrack albums as being good in parts but nothing to blow me away.

Spencer (Death Waltz founder) on the record division side said on FB he'd post his thoughts in the next couple of days after he's had a bit more time to think things through. Said it's been a very rough 72 hours so sounds like it's really only come in this last week.

Did the regular album on colored vinyl from the scrapped 3LP anniversary set ever see the light of day?
Nope, looks like our predictions were wrong!
Also still waiting on the 100th Window reissue that kept popping up places for pre-order but never actually got announced!

Update on That Thing You Do - later this year!

Yet another year passes by and still no That Thing You Do! OST. At this point I'm going to be some old man years from now waiting on the god-damn 50th Anniversary press or something. Literally screw whoever is holding that process up.
Also, I can't go this year and was hoping for another year of crap so I wouldn't have FOMO. I was this close to success when I get to the very bottom and see the first pressing ever of The Verve Pipe album 😑At least it's an 'RSD First' and will have a wider release later on in case I miss getting a copy online.
If you were seriously thinking that it would be part of an RSD drop then you were always going to be disappointed.

This is sweet, very different. Looks like they have a Dinked edition floating around as well! So many different UK shops to choose from though. Banquet always seems to be decently reliable. Any suggestions on good shops that ship internationally and pack records solidly?
I've got the Dinked version, looks & sounds great. Banquet are a good way to go.

Not sure if there would be any fans here or not but thought I may as well post. Kickstarter for an expanded reissue of Maroon LP from 2000 plus a new album compiled from various unreleased sessions

Loving the new Molly album. They're describing themselves as Celestial Shoegaze, but to me that's really more smatterings of post-rock with shoegaze vocals. Some huge cuts on here too.
the 1st album was amazing as well
