  1. Been ordering from them for roughly 10 years or so... I've had several occasions where an item ordered was out of stock, nothing major. Very prompt with email replies/inquiries. Dave and the rest of the staff are good folks... Good distro.
  2. Picked this up yesterday... at the mall. Just one copy. Superb job on this one Travis... thanks! Question - I don't have the 2009 repress to compare, however, I do have the original German pressing from 1997. I noticed on the HT exclusive, the jacket states printed in U.S.A., however, the vinyl label states "Manufactured in Germany"... ??? The vinyl pressing on this one is outstanding, clean, warm sound; not as loud as the 1997 pressing. Was the 2009 pressing also manufactured in Germany? How about the recent HT exclusive for Dookie and Insomniac?
  3. Mine. Now. Brian & IVWT has provided such outstanding service thus far... how could I say no? Looking forward to all future releases...
  4. What's this kid's eBay username so I can block them from buying any of my items...
  5. So... This boot was released about a year ago; recall it being at a local shop, but never picked it up. Can't seem to find much info regarding this particular release... Although I have GB's LP, 7" and various comps... I'm interested in the demos. http://www.discogs.com/release/3012642 Comments?
  6. Thanks for the notification... Promptly ordered. Shugo's previous work definitely needs the vinyl treatment.
  7. Sleep - Dopesmoker Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers - L.A.M.F. (Lost '77 mixes) Youth of Today - Break Down the Walls Cobalt - Gin David Lynch/Alan R. Splet - Eraserhead Original Soundtrack ...Smashing Pumpkins "Mellon....", Smoking Popes "Born To Quit", and Superdrag's "Regretfully Yours" may have been in the top 5... but they are not in my possession as of yet. So there. Some other dazzling metal/punk reissues came out this year as well... too many to mention. Although some may not consider Cobalt's Gin a repress... it was originally issued in 2009 on cd. Margot & The Nukes "Dust of Retreat", Empire Records Soundtrack, and Goldenboy "Blue Swan Orchestra" also fall in this category... if you will, and definitely deserve a plug for fave repress. And lastly, Mondo's repress of "The Beyond" soundtrack... and ALL the Death Waltz soundtracks.
  8. ..was hoping to find a video for "lesbian eskimo midget left-handed ninja albino"... This should suffice:
  9. How much did this cost you? ~Ranged from (approx.) $20-$50 per box. By media, do you mean boat? ~Oddly enough, some went via boat (2-4 weeks), and some came rather promptly... via aeroplane or the like (1 week) I'm guessing... How many records per box? ~50-80 per. I also numbered each box (ex: 1/12, 5/15, etc.)...for tracking purposes, obviously.
  10. Shipped my entire collection (1000+) over the Pacific 3 times via Media Mail, once via FedEx... with the records outside the jackets. About 50-80 per box. Packed snug, no room for shifting. No issues -aside from one box being sliced (literally) horizontally on the bottom from one side to the other creating a sort of flap.. the USPS method of verifying that the contents were truly media. Some of the plastic sleeves were cut (no carved jackets/vinyl), few bent corners; nothing major. Should I move overseas again, I would definitely go the USPS route.. it's far more economical. Also have a flight case which holds approx. 50 or so 12"s which I use often... as a carry-on only; no longer will I check it in, it's got a fair share of bumps and bruises from the fine folks in the airline industry.
  11. duckula... I purchased this LP new upon it's release in 1998, and lo... after playing my beloved (favorite) Elliott Smith LP once again this evening, it indeed has surface noise throughout (always had). Never bothered me a bit though... however... I'm now considering a SpinClean test; last I used it for this particular reason was my Girls LP which had a ton of surface noise (supposedly the release agent from the stamping process causes this), which did the trick.
  12. It's been several years since last played. I'll listen to my copy tonight and report back if there are any issues....
  13. "Only 1,500 pieces" ... My only concern is if "You can play.." will have the CD bonus tracks. However, based on the info from the site stating "Transatlanticism" is a double LP and not this one, I'm thinking probably not.... it's just the cassette version as it'll have the initial artwork. Everything in the box set is the Death Cab material I know, and love. "Plans" and beyond, well... just wasn't my cup o' tea. I recall talks of a Barsuk box set about two years ago... Insound even made a brief announcement, but it was still in the works... No way this will last long. Promptly ordered.
  14. CDN$ 26.99 plus CDN$ 9.98 (S&H) = CDN$ 36.97
  15. ...and for $75.99, you can purchase it here: http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/Smashing-Pumpkins-%252d-Mellon-Collie-%26-the-Infinite-Sadness-4XLP.html
  16. When Capitol announced they'd be reissuing Radiohead's back catalog including their singles on vinyl, I was totally elated. Elated for one reason... that the Drill EP was to have a proper repress. I had all the original Parlophone albums, etc... but the one I never wanted to fork out $100+ for was the Drill EP. Not my fave Radiohead songs, but it was their first, you know... Anywho, I thought the overall packaging (with bonus sticker) and sound quality was befitting of the price tag. No complaints. My only question regarding Radiohead's single represses is... Why no "Pop is Dead"?
  17. Eenie Meenie gave Goldenboy's debut "Blue Swan Orchestra" the proper vinyl treatment for it's 10th anniversary earlier this month: http://store.eenieme...an-orchestra-lp Their shipping can be a bit pricey... thankfully, Amazon is also offering this fine album which qualifies for Super Saver Shipping: http://www.amazon.co...51567786&sr=8-1
  18. Keith Cleversley produced the album (Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Verve, Spiritualized, Posies, etc...). Listen to The Lips' "Transmissions...." album, that would be a good reference point in regards to production value, in my opinion. For those interested in Keith's words on this album, click below (good read, by the way): http://www.cleversle...tar-sounds-how/ Certainly looking forward to the SRC pressing; the U.K Dedicated version annihilates the U.S. Cargo version. The sound quality is far superb and I always preferred how Dedicated decided to use the photo (of the band in some vehicle) to wrap around the dust sleeve, as opposed to the Cargo version which had the photo on the label affixed to the vinyl. Didn't care for the foldout poster (Matt's wife, perhaps?) either with the Cargo LP.... If Fillet Show ever gets the proper vinyl treatment, I'm buying.
  19. that's how amazon works, it seems. i pre-order criterion films via amazon and the fluctuation due to demand is very apparent.....
