  1. I too, received a shiny blue copy. Interesting that their Facebook mentions of deluxe packaging, download code, etc... come to find it's just a standard jacket, and a record with it's dust sleeve. I also sent a query to Erik who promptly replied with the following... "The blue is limited to around 80-100. I lost track. This is a remastered version of the dust of retreat, no additional tracks or anything. No download code." So there you have it...
  2. right on.. is this to be released via 4AD, Brassland...?
  3. surprise! been waiting years for this to happen... limited to 1000 on 180 gram black vinyl. would definitely not wait to order this one, no way. i'm still hoping "Stereo 360 Sound" gets a proper vinyl release someday... we may very well get "Head Trip..." on vinyl... "We've been talking to Side One Dummy about issuing both of our Elektra albums on LP" http://dragnetsuperdragbbs.yuku.com/topic/2766/Re-From-John-Long-Time-No-Yuku?page=-1#.UHZDjDliEy4
  4. i may pick this one up... here's the amazon link, for those interested: http://www.amazon.com/Rifts-Oneohtrix-Point-Never/dp/B009INAE7O/ref=tmm_vnl_title_0
  5. once upon a time... aural exploits was carrying used records (at decent prices, too) ... till they closed shop.
  6. i agree wholeheartedly that this is one of my fave albums of the last decade, hands down. i still have the original 150 gram (?)... been wavering on purchasing the reissue as my original has been played numerous handfuls. a bit pricey. if the peel sessions were on vinyl as opposed to a download, i wouldn't have second thoughts... that unknown pleasure fan comp on white vinyl from a few years back has quite a few of the bonus tracks from this reissue, if i'm not mistaken. an interesting story to some, perhaps... when i initially purchased this album, i only had a cassette deck in my truck. this was one of the few albums worthy of receiving a cassette transfer.. it's that good.
  7. one of my fave green day album's.... still have my original german pressing of insomniac and nimrod... purchased for roughly $9.99 upon it's release. 86. one of my fave song's... live on letterman. the green day i dearly miss...
  8. Finally... An Earlimart album on vinyl... http://shipshop.bigc...vinyl-pre-order
  9. Per Adam (posted on 12 Aug - Facebook) "it'll be out before the end of this year. Just finishing now. The vinyl sounds great. Chesterfield will also be reissued."
  10. Jason's "Dept. of Dissappearance" comes out Oct 15/16 depending on where you live... The double LP (with a CD!) can be ordered here.
  11. Finally available on vinyl. Get it now... http://store.sideone...ted-to-200.html ..before it's gone.
  12. Ramesh from Voxtrot has a kickstarter up regarding a new album.... http://www.kickstart...sh/ramesh-album
  13. so a supposed rarities album was supposed to be released this summer by Dangerbird... right? here it is almost the beginning of Autumn... and zero news as of yet. TPR cancels their Portland gig and the Dangerbird site deleted all info regarding Promise Ring.... what's next?
  14. I was really, really hoping the Tour EP '04 would get a proper vinyl pressing.... Perhaps some day.
  15. Yeah... it's rarer than the original Nimrod German pressing. Probably about 1000 pressed, if that... The first time I saw it on eBay was during the Weezer hype of 2001 when the Blue Album was going for about $300 and Pinkerton about $150...remember that? Angus sold for about $150 or so, and I recall never wanting to pay that much for the LP. Then about 2004 or 2005 it came up again and it was a little over $100 with several days left... never followed up on it though... Every once in a while when the film or a song from the film (and not all the songs from the film was on the official soundtrack - like Empire Records) comes to mind (which is a couple times a year), I check eBay if the LP is listed.... one of the rarest White Whale's for me.
  16. This is one of my fave soundtracks of all time... every song is ace. Believe it or not... Reprise/Warner Germany pressed this in extremely limited quantities around '95 or '96 on vinyl... as they pressed Green Day's Nimrod (never pressed outside Germany, btw, until recently) and Insomniac around the same time. And yes, I've seen it on eBay only a couple times in the last 10+ years... This needs a proper vinyl pressing... go for it! Count me in.
  17. 1234 go! has The Cute Lepers LP on glow in the dark for $9.99... http://www.1234gorecords.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=414 They used to have the Nobunny LP on glow... sold out though.. You're in the East Bay right? Just head over to their shop in Oakland and they can hook you up... I believe if it's online, it's in their physical store as well.
  18. Gold club pledgers (initial posting: http://boards.vinylc...+margot +pledge)... received the following earlier today: "Hello Pledge Gold Club members, The time has finally come for the pre-order for the Dust of Retreat vinyl! As promised, you Gold Club members get first crack at them. You can follow the provided link to order either the Dust of Retreat Vinyl, or the Dust of Retreat Vinyl Combo. The combo includes the vinyl, a signed artwork print and a t-shirt, featuring artwork from the Dust of Retreat. Please note that this is a pre-order, so it will still be a while before you actually receive your Dust vinyl -- vinyl manufacturing is a notoriously time- consuming process, and the plants aren't really punctual to boot. KEEP ME UPDATED ON YOUR CURRENT ADDRESSES TO AVOID LOST SHIPMENTS. Come Tuesday, this link will be live to the general public, so get yours while you can. Earlier orders will have earlier numbers (each vinyl will be hand- numbered), and some will be colored vinyl." I won't post the link on the board, but, for those VC folk who absolutely MUST order now, send me a PM... I'm busy for the remainder of the day, and will attempt to respond to your message promptly. Vinyl is $25 plus $3.50 S/H (U.S.) and the combo is $55...
  19. Thank you. ..was pretty bummed when I missed out... on a plane for the duration of sale via Mondo's site... and I thought to myself... 1500 sold that quickly? It's already on eBay... From what I researched, about half was sold on the site, the other half goes to distros... Seems a pre-order has hit a couple U.K. sites (Rough Trade and Piccadilly) already... and domestically with Barnes and Noble. I ordered via B and N a couple days ago (had no issues with them before...) and I ordered via Amazon just in case. There was actually another thread regarding this release from a few months ago... http://boards.vinylc..._+beyond +mondo And yes... the score is that good. Was hoping the jacket would've had Ken Taylor's work from last year: http://www.mondoarch...ter/the-beyond/ ...he did a marvelous job on the Maniac LP: http://www.mondotees...k-LP_p_332.html ...and on Drive (perhaps this will be used for the upcoming soundtrack?): http://www.mondoarchive.com/poster/drive/?refer=search&search=Ken%20Taylor
  20. All of Wes Anderson's film soundtracks are befitting of a vinyl release.... even Bottle Rocket and Fantastic Mr. Fox. I wouldn't even think twice about purchasing them if they were ever pressed. I believe to have consulted someone from Simply Vinyl (only label to release the Lost Highway soundtrack on vinyl by the way..... the link: http://www.discogs.c.../release/210367) around ten years ago when The Royal Tenenbaums was released and asked if they were considering... they said maybe. Eric Anderson's (Wes' brother) illustrations for the Criterion releases should definitely be the album artwork....
  21. The fine folks at Revelation Records are reissuing Youth of Today's "Break Down The Walls" and "We're Not in this Alone"... both on colored vinyl with the original Wishingwell Records and Caroline Records layout. $11.00 each and ships June 7th. Break Down The Walls: http://revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&Id=REV008 We're Not In This Alone: http://revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&Id=REV059 And for those who were following the In My Eyes colored vinyl reissues thread and waiting to order directly from RevHQ.... they've got the pre-orders up for these as well. Nothing To Hide: http://revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&Id=REV080 The Difference Between: http://revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&Id=REV067
  22. Moved across the Pacific Ocean 3 times... shipped my records ALL via media mail. Takes a few weeks... A few dented corners, no big deal. About 50 per box. Make sure they're packed nice and tight. No room to shift. Just be sure to write on the box, FRAGILE. DO NOT DROP. DO NOT CRUSH.
  23. so the 10" isn't happening... at all... just received this message from Side One: "We changed the format to a double 7" for this one..."
  24. hear hear. yeah... nothing spectacular from the Rev folks this year.
